What the heck is going on in the world?! How horrible. I just wish she had taken them to a hospital or fire deparment or something if she could not handle the stress of having 2 babies.

no clue how anyone could do this. there is a trial going on right now in a neighboing town where a mother burned their mobile home down with her two kids in it. she went to the neighbors home and ask for help cause she had sprained her foot and while they were talking she kinda said" oh yea, the trailor is on fire and the kids are in it" her friends have been on the witness stand for the past few days telling how she had said in from of her kids that she wished they were never born and that they were cramping her life style. they were like 10 and 12 or something like that. they think she may have drugged them before sitting it on fire.

Her doing it in such a public place as well, she wanted to get caught. Those poor babies

Wow, she actually set the fire herself? That is just beyond cruel.

She should be set on fire as her punishment!Same with the mother who stabbed her kids to death,she should be stabbed to death too.I never use to feel this way ,I use to feel sorry for these psychologically impaired mothers but this is getting rediculous.TOO cruel !!!

Oh my gosh!

I can only imagine how helpless the neighbors must of felt once they found out the kids were still inside.....

Things like this happen because "we" still don't accept mental illness as an illness.
People who are "in their right mind" do not do something like this.
Sick people do.
But people who have a mental illness don't seek the help they need because society has such a hard time understanding mental illness.
We want to punish instead of help mentally ill people who do things we cannot understand.
We think they could stop what they are thinking if they really wanted to.
We think they are stupid instead of sick.
They may think so too.
If we see a friend having a heart attack or an allergic raction, we jump right in to help.
But if a friend starts acting a little odd or depressed, we think they are "crazy" or should "snap out of it", which to them is like jumping over the moon!
A mental health exam should be included in every physical exam, starting in childhood!!!

There was an 8 day old baby girl in Detroit that was sexually abused by her "father" in the last couple of weeks. The infant died from massive bleeding. Was he mentally ill? I do agree that many of these ppl are, but I also believe that there are just some ppl that are capable of evil.

It does seem like there are some evil people out there.
Maybe that falls under mental illness, i really don't know.
If I were younger I think I'd go back to school and study psychology.
