We are expecting baby#4 early next year so I've been going through our kids things trying to decide what to get rid of and what to keep. There are a couple of questionable things that I would like to keep and have for our new baby but I'm not sure if I should. One toy in particular was made in China and we got it for our 1st child back in 1999. I know a lot of these toys have dropped off the radar and we will probably not see any recalls.

Should I get rid of all toys that were made in China just to be safe?

I dont know I guess its how you feel is that toy safe. We went through DS toys last weekend and I was surprised how many we actually had that were under the recall that I dont remember buying him or him getting as a gift. But they were recalled items and I will admit most everything he has is made in a foreign land, by the time we were down getting rid of recalled toys, broken ones those that were too young for him the kid had 1/2 of a xerox paper box left of toys.

If it makes you feel safer do it.. I certainly feel better now that we purged his toys for not just recall and safety but because he is a packrat and a messy one at that and I woudl do it again.
