Hi Everybody!

I sure hope you are having a great Friday and are looking forward to a fun weekend. I just wanted to give you a quick update.

For those of you awesome premium members, I wanted to let you know that I took down the private boards. They were really dead. Since nobody was using them, I figured it was OK to get rid of them. I sure hope that is fine with everybody.

Next, we've got some cool new features coming later today.

1. We will be creating a new board for commenting on the stores we have on the site. We have ratings and comments today, but those are handled by some code that we cooked up in-house. That is going to be replaced by a board that will have a thread for each merchant. Each thread will start with a poll to rate the merchant. On the main part of the site, we'll pull this info out to show the right number of stars and to display the comments. The permissions on the board will be such that you can't create any new threads, you will be able to reply to one that has already been created. One of our goals is to more tightly meld the great content of the boards with the rest of the content on the site.

2. New member profile pages. We will be swapping out the member profile pages that are part of the shopping boards with a new page that has a ton of new features and gives you a lot of control over what is and what is not included. You will be able to include a post from your blog, add a section that includes whatever HTML content you want to include, list your favorite stores etc. These pages will all be located at username.mycoupons.com, so mine would be mycouponsgreg.mycoupons.com. This first version won't include everything we have planned but it will be pretty nifty. Pretty quickly all of the things included within the shopping boards profile will be added and in fact when you visit another MyCouponer's profile from the boards, you'll end up on this page.

We are working hard to provide some really neat tools for all of you and to get some really great deals from our clients. Some of the codes we have are really, really good deals.

We didn't make it today. The new stuff will be rolling out very early next week. We found a couple of issues and there are some tweaks we need to make for the first revision. I sure hope you all like what we have coming for you!
