We were invited to a Christmas talent exchange party. The idea is to bring a talent to share with everyone. The ideas were poems, music a skit, anything really but I can't seem to find my talent, help!!!

Do you know how to juggle? Do you have an hour to learn? It's really not that hard (as long as you're not afraid of dropping when you're starting out. Use little koosh balls if you can...they don't roll away). Lots of web sites (Google "learn to juggle" or something) that will walk you through the steps.

What about some basic origami? Flapping cranes, frogs, boxes, etc are pretty easy (again, Google for instructions.). Maybe you could have some basic history/facts about Origami to talk about while you fold.

You could do a reading of a poem or short story. A piece from Erma Bombeck or Dave Barry that's appropriate for your audience might work well. Or, find a children's Christmas story book, have everyone sit on the floor and have story time.

Perhaps you could come up with a humorous way to explain how couponing/bargain shopping works? A little self-depricating humor can go a long way with something like this.

Those are always fun parties. I am active in Community theatre and most parties my DH and I go to, we have to share a talent. I usually sing a novelty song..like Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah

My DH is not a performer at all, but he IS a team player so he joins in. He usually does a poem by Shel Silverstein. Most of his poems are funny and some are pretty easy to memorize

Thanks for the help we went to the party last night and I would totally recommend it. I ended up sharing my coupon finds from this week from ralphs. There were a lot of deals, it went over very well. Others did beginning guitar, songs, tap, trumpet, piano, 12 days of christmas,photography, a craft, some clay art, and some rowdy singing with a blowup guitar. It was fun.
