I believe iPods use a proprietary file format, so I don't think you'll find any freebies that you can download unless it is a freebie offered on iTunes. However, iTunes makes it very easy to copy your CDs on to your iPod - assuming you have a CD drive in your computer. I've heard that there are ways to hack around the proprietary file format, but I'd be too afraid of screwing up my iPod to try it. |

Ipods use MP3's. I have about 1000 songs on my puter . Its very easy to add your own music to it. I use Limewire, but use at your OWN risk! you can copy your cd's to your drive and then move them to Your Ipod.

It's very easy to put your CD's onto your iPod. Unfortunately, most of my music collection is on vinyl, but that's another story. I love epitonic.com for free music, but it's mostly from bands you've never heard of. Still, many are excellent, and very worth hearing.
