We live far away from family in another state and have always gone "home" for Christmas. It's a 9 hour drive, but I couldn't imagine Christmas without being surrounded by family. The kids have very fond memories of all of our trips to Nebraska. So, I guess for us, the perfect Christmas is being home with family and everyone enjoying each other's company ( and everyone getting along!)

A few snowflakes is a nice bonus!

For the whole family to be together with no arguing or nitpicking. For my daughter to have some miracle cure found and no more hospital stays.

Home with my family. I'm a nurse and working Christmas is part of the norm. I was on for this year and our director said we had too many on and I was drawn to have it off!!! She called me off the 24 & 25 but I told her I'd work the 24 to give another person a shot at getting it off. She drew a single mom that had her son on that day and her ex has him the 25. Worked out perfect!

I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy to be home this Christmas!! We don't open presents until after church on the 24th so I'll be home in time for all that. I get off at 7, church is at 7:30.

I feel SOOOOOOOO blessed!

My perfect Christmas is to sit around on Christmas morning and open presents with my kids and DH. We will have hot chocolate and cinnamon rolls. Later for "brunch" we will have egg bake and fruit salad. Later on in the day we will go the Grandparents house and spend time with them That sounds perfect to me!

I want to personally thank everyone in your profession for working during these Holidays. As you know my DD spends a lot of time in the Hospital and the nurses are who really give her the time and affection she sometimes really needs. Thanks and I hope you have a great holiday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PS: DD wants to be a nurse

Sleeping in sounds like a good one....Or not having the kids wake me up at 3:30 in the morning to inform me that "Santa" has come when I went to bed at 2:30 b/c of helping "Santa." Our family got together every Christmas Eve up until 2 years ago. It was loud and noisy and I wish I had it again...my mom just can't do it anymore (shes 79) so we don't get together like we use too....and everyone of us live within 3 miles of each other, but we see each other everyday and often several of us (there's 7) gets together at the local store (2 of us work there) for coffee and gossip Actually I'm just glad to know that they are close.
