My DB and my DSIL attend the Church of Christ. They are Christians who do not celebrate the birth of Christ part of Christmas.

I would like to give my DSIL a bracelet that tells the story of the Nativity. Is that appropriate? I mean they DO celebrate the birth of Christ, just not as part of Christmas.

My brother is a Church of Christ minister. They celebrate the commercial aspect of the season, but I've had the "Christ wasn't born in December" sermon delivered to me several times. IMHO, it's not a good idea, but I do commend you for such a giving spirit.

(by the way, as I tell my DSIL, I do not believe Christ was actually born in Dec either, nor have I ever been taught that in church)
