If you could trade places with anyone for a day....

who would you trade places with??? A historical figure? A star? You name it - and why!

I would trade places with someone who was 9 months pregnant.. so that they could 'rest' and get ready for the big day and so I could remember how hard it is being like that and get over the 'another baby' blues...

I remember this question being asked before and always thought how fun it would be a movie star or someone who changed history. However, someone on this board answered they would be their child so they could understand how they were feeling and what they thought. I thought that was so profound and has stuck with me.

So that's my answer; I'd be one of my kids. I'd get an inside look into his mind, how he feels, what makes him tick, how his mind works.

Wow - some great answers that I never would have thought of!

I would love the opportunity to try a lot of different lifestyles, so it's hard for me to say just one.....but I'm thinking it would be very interesting to be a pioneer woman (for just a day, of course!). I think it would keep me from whining so much in real life.

I am thinking of starting a new career.

I think that it would be good to be able to pop into that career for a day -- not as an inexperienced newbie! but as if I had been doing it for a year or so... just to find out if it is really what I want to do before I go to all of the time and effort of pursuing it and then finding out that it's not what I want to do for the next 10 or so years of my life?!

Difficult to explain but that's where I'm at right now as a woman in my mid-40's. LOL.

Great topic!

I think this would be a great idea! I would want to be my great great grandmother, they lived not too far from here and i would get to see what this area really looked like and how people lived. It would probably help me realize how hard they really had it and how easy we do.

I like the kid idea too though, maybe we can really figure out what it going on in their head?! DH might be one place I DON'T want to go.

I would love to trade places with our disabled DD that can't talk.

I really would love to know what she knows or feels. (we need a smiley symbol for crying because I am)

Wow, what an interesting thought.

I have said many times that "if I was God, I sure would have done things a lot differently....."

For example, I would not have made the human body susceptible to a gazillion diseases/injuries

An aids orphan from Zambia. Reminding me that my life is wonderful, and that I have no room or need to ever complain about my present life.

Yall are a lot of thought provokers. My first thought was, to wake up and be wealthy with no money worries at all. Go travelling, shopping, price doesn't matter. But then I think about how I would like to know how my mother felt, knowing she had to leave us in such a terrible way. But then, on the other hand , I probably would never want to know what she truly went thru. Then about the orphans, etc...My God we are blessed! I think I'll just stick here with my good health at 40 , my precious kids, and my good life.

I would trade my life with a child that is dying from illness and let them get some peace for once and see how they are feeling.
