I just got to thinking. When my nails are all the same length, I tend to polish them. But when I have a crack, chip, or two...I tend to not polish them.

Do you regularly polish yours? Do you do it yourself or do you have a manicure?

Just curious

never wasted money on a manicure, i did polish them back before kids but now theyd just pour it everywhere so i dont bother, mine are all the same length, and filed.

I polish sometimes. There's a new beauty school opening up in January across the street from where I work. I will be treating myself to some manicures at a cheap price very soon!!

I have never had a manicure or a pedicure. I am lucky to have good nails. I do polish them myself occasionally. I have actually had people ask me if they are real or fake nails. Which....I find very funny..

I polish (clear hardener) about once a month. I do get a manicure about 4 times a year. I can do my nails pretty well on my own. It's my toes that look crappy when I am done. So, I get pedicures during sandal weather (about 3 over the coarse of the summer). There is a great place near me that is reasonable

I used to but then the polish remover started to hurt my nails/fingers when I used it so I quit.
I have since discovered that the kind of remover in the jar with the spongey thing doesnt bother me but now I am so used to not polishing that I don't often even think about it.
But since we are going out New Year's Eve, I think I will try to remember to do them!

I don't like polish on my finger nails

Only my toe nails get polished.

I do polish them myself regularly - my nails are strong but will weaken a lot if I don't have polish on them; I use just a light beige color with a topcoat and reapply the topcoat every two days.

I don't like polish on my fingernails either! My nails are naturally white and it looks like I always have a french manicure anyway. Very rarely I'll put a clear glaze on them. I always keep my toes polished!

No fingers, just toes for me, too. I feel that I look like a hooker when I have polish on my nails....I don't feel that way about other people, just me. I do let my toes go bare in the winter for periods of time also.

I used to polish my fingernails regularly before kids, but now it's more for a special occassion.

I do my toenails regularly in the summer, but they go bare in the winter.

I've had a couple manicures & pedicures and figured I could do it as well as they do. I went to WalMart and bought all the stuff and do my toenails (and my girls) with french manicures and do little rhinestones on them. All the stuff cost about as much as 1 manicure and it's really easy. I get comments all the time in the summer about my "manicures" & "pedicures" that we do at home!

I am lucky to have good nails that are strong and good shaped

I can't keep my nails looking good to save my life. I'm a nurse, so we can't keep our nails painted anyways. But on special occasions (like Christmas) I like to paint them red! I try to remember to keep a clear strenghthener on them, because they never grow long or anything. But my toenails are ALWAYS painted, because I am a flip flop addict....

No polish here... I pick so much at my nails and cuticles with my other fingernails (gross habit) that I do best if I keep my nails very short. Not very pretty but it keeps things clean and under control with all of the work that I do outdoors and the dry climate here.

I do keep my toenails polished during flip flop weather.

Oh, would that I could! God gave me the cheap, bendy nails. Nothing I tried makes them stronger, they just break and break, or should I say tear and tear.

But, I also keep the toenails painted in summer.

I don't use it on fingers or toes. I know I'm in the minority, but I think finger and toenail polish look really tacky.

My beloved sil is a nail salon person so I get to be her trial and error person.. I love it!
