I third the attorney requirement. Florida property law isn't the easiest thing around. The potential problems surround the type of conveyance. (I may be biased because I am an attorney, too. However, I am not a property attorrney and I hated taking property law in school )

I have no clue, but, I would definitely hire an attorney specializing in Real Estate law. I would think lots of things factor in, such as - is the property paid for? things like that. Please update us, sounds like an interesting thing to know.

Yes, I'd say you need a real estate attorney to add a name to a deed. It will have to be recorded in the Clerk's Office (Register of Deeds or whatever it's called in Florida). Not sure how close you are to the person who is adding a name, but they might want to do a title search too, to make sure there are no liens (that you're not aware of), just so everything is on the up and up.
