WOW! 11 inches! How many drinks did you have last night? My bf would shoot me if I did that.

I'm happy for you! It's nice to have a change in hairstyle, makes you feel different and brand new. Besides, shorter hair is in fashion right now.

Congratulations! Not only are you doing a great job keeping the homefront running smoothly, you are even brave enough to make positive changes you feel good about! You should have some "Glamour" type photos done to send to your DH......I'm sure he will love the new you.

oh, that is long enuf to donate to Locks Of Love. DD is going to cut hers off and donate this month. I'm contemplating going shorter....I think in the Spring, tho. I need some hair to keep me warm in the Winter.

I need a new style so badly, I am still stuck in the 80's (not the height though, that has flattened out). I have such thin hair that I am afraid to not have bangs. I just can't get the guts to go short, or at least shoulder length.

Good luck with the new do!

I personally think its harder. When its long you can always throw it up in a ponytail or clip and look presentable. However, when it's short I think you would need to do just to walk out the house.

mabear, sounds like you love it!!! You need to post pics so we can all see the "new" you. Plus by the time your DH comes home, I am sure your hair length wouldn't be what is on his mind....if you know what I mean

Good for you - years ago I had almost waist length hair and got it cut to chin length. What a difference! I also have very thick hair so it took forever to dry. I keep it fairly short now. There is a young girl I know, here Mother will not let her cut her hair. Her hair is below her knees now - ridiculous in my opinion since the Mother only allows her to wear it long, no ponytails, etc.

About three years ago I cut my hair to a chin-length bob and donated 15 inches to Locks Of Love, then almost two years ago I started shaving my head - easiest hairstyle ever!
