On our loooooooooong trip back from Texas, DH, the kids and myself started playing a game.....a job I never could do and why. I thought it was a great topic, it went on and on for almost two hours. So I'll list my top three job I could never have........ what job could you never do?????

1. Snake handler.....if you have ever read my previous posts you would know I am terrified of them....so much I can't even watch them on TV

2. A truck driver......I hate driving and I always thought DH old F-250 was to big for me to drive add another 14 wheels

3. A Judge.....I think everyone is guilty


I have many many many more.......but these are tops on my list

I don't think I could be a mortuary, embalming people just seems icky....or work in a funeral home in any capacity, too much crying and sadness.
I don'[t think I could work in any field where it smells really nasty.....although I used to gag when changing diapers and motherhood just gets you over that....so maybe I'd suprise myself.

the person who cleans up after people lose their house (elec gets shut off) all those maggots and flies...ick! And the mess people leave behind...

a garbage man (I cant stand the smell of the diaper pail when emptied...I can't imagine

As a person with no marketable skills, looking for a good job, after being home w/ the kids for a kajillion years, I am not adverse to a lot of situations. Things I could not do:
butcher
bus driver
school cafeteria worker
fast food restaurant worker
plumber

EMT, all the horrors you see as a result of gun shots and accidents
ER doctor and nurse (same explanation as EMT)
Highway construction worker, Can't imagine working with crazy drivers whizzing past me at 100 miles an hour
High rise window washer... SCARY!

Anything in the medical field, can't take other people's blood and bodily fluids.
Anything to do with dead people.
Anything to do with dead animals.

I could not be a juror of a child molestor case because I don't believe I could not keep an open mind, I would assume all was guilty.

I couldn't work with sick children.
I couldn't work in a nursing home.
For emotional reasons.

I couldn't do ANYTHING w/ bugs. I have serious phobias.

I couldn't be a politician. I am not tactful enough.

Teacher, not because of the kids but dealing with the parents and all the school red tape.

Cashier of any kind - I do not have patience when dealing with adults!
Nurse - don't think I could emotionally handle dying patients
Anything to do with HUMAN bodily fluids

Day care worker/teacher/nanny or anything else working with kids-I'm just not a kid person

Doctor/dentist/nurse or anything else where you have to deal with bodily fluids coming from living people. I could probably deal with dead people though.

I second the animal part especially. When I was taking biology classes in college our professor happened to mention how the nursing students had to dissect dead cats. I was sick to my stomach at the thought! There is no way I could have done that.

As for other jobs, I could never be a secretary. The one in our dept. takes abuse from people on the phone and in person all the time (people get really nasty when you tell them they can't information they want). I just think it would wear me down after awhile.

I don't want a job:

In a slaughterhouse - don't want to kill the cows, even though I eat beef.
As a taxi driver - don't want to fight traffic for a living or worry about whether the fare would rob me
In Pest Control - don't like bugs
As a counselor for rape/sexual abuse victims - don't want to be depressed all the time
As a criminal defense attorney - don't want the criminals set free

performing autopsies The mere thought of a baby on that table about kills me.
Dead Animals clean ups
Nurse can't handle the sick and dying( Pulls too much at my heart )
Someone that deals with child abuse cases( See above for reasons Y )
anything that deals with blood or fluids from a person ( Major fear of catching something )
Sewer cleaner/ repair/pumper
Or for that matter anything job that requires me to smell foul ordors I have the weakest stomach of anyone I know, It took every thing I could mustard up to change dirty diapers, THANK GOD those days are long gone now )

butcher Ekk, I freak out if blood drips from a package of meat I'm buying, I have to wash my hands right then and there

Judge, I couldn't / wouldn't be a fair one. Esp if it was about a child being hurt or killed.

Police Officer, Ok I admit I would be the officer from hell, I HATE DRUGS, I HATE A DRUNKS, So it's best not to work in a field where I would come across them daily.

Maid, The thought of cleaning s1 elses toilet jsut grosses me out ( GAG ), I have been a maid b4 in a Disney town Hotel, I told them I was quiting because of that reason made Super 2 days later LOL. Ekkkkk cleaning a toilet of another person, what would be worse?
