I want a new perfume

I was wearing White Diamonds by Elizabeth Taylor, but I finally used it all up. I would like something else.

What is your favorite Perfume??

I can't stand heavy perfumes. I like soft, light ones. I use Tommy Girl, Anais Anais and even Love's Baby Soft.

I love Pure Poison by Dior and Trésor by Lancome. Burberry makes a scent that I really like but I'm not sure what it is--I know Rachel Weisz did the ad for the perfume. It's not their signature scent, the spouse bought that for me for Christmas last year and it's just too heavy for me.

I think it's Burberry London.
I heard the men's smells really good. Hadn't heard about the women's, I may have to try that out.

I got a sample of Giorgio and have been wearing that. I remember it from my high school days.
I know it's a heavier scent but a little dab will usually do it, and the scent lasts.

Thanks, AMulquin! I'll have to look for Burberry London next time I'm out.

So funny you mention Giorgio...when I read this post it reminded me of dousing myself in Primo, the cheap 80's knockoff of Giorgio when I was in jr. high!

I wear Anais Anais...perfect if you don't like heavy scents.

You said that you liked ET's White Diamonds...another one I just discovered by her is the Gardenia perfume...Found it on sale at TJ Maxx and Marshall's...it smells just like a gardenia flower...wonderful!

DKNY Cashmere Mist is also good.

Nina Ricci's L'Air du temps
It is a light fragrance.

I think that it depends on your body chemistry. What smells great on one person doesn't always smell good on anotheer. So sample them first.

I like Sensual Amber as well.

I don't get into BBW food (ie fruits) or spice scents. But that's me!

One nice things is that the scents are very light. I buy the lotion, bubble bath, and body spray in one or two particular scents and they will generally last well past the next big sale!

Hope that helps.

We must have the same nose! I'm not a big BBW fan, but am hooked on the Sensual Amber.

Usually I find myself buying scents with names referring to water, ocean, etc.

Bath and Bodyworks has awesome sales going on right now. Big discounts because of being after Christmas. You can get baskets with several items of one scent in it at a hugh discount over buying them as a single item.

Also, if you go to their website:

Bath & Body Works

and sign up with an email, you usually get a coupon for some sort of freebie in the mail like a small lotion or lip balm.
They also have testers all over the store so you can try things out. Their website usually lists the sales going on.

It is definately not a high end place, but I wear it during the day and save my more expensive stuff for special times. I like that I can have sprays, body lotion, hand lotion, etc all in the same scent for a very inexpensive price.

Thank you so much ladies!!!

I ordered myself some Pink Sugar.. that sounds... sweet! I also signed up for a few samples to be sent to me.. and I made a list of ones to check out next time I go shopping!

I like sweet, fruity fresh light scents... White Diamonds was a light flowery type scent but I loved that anyway, so much so it's all gone

I tried using my Mom's Jovan musk... It's too thick of a smell for me, and it reminded me of her, I kept looking around her for the whole day I was wearing it

Calvin Klein Sheer Obsession (not sure they still make it) - it's light and not at all heavy like Obsession is -
and I still like Alyssa Ashley Musk lotion and oil after 30 years.

My scent is Elizabeth Arden's Red Door. I repeatedly get asked what I am wearing, how nice I smell, etc.
I bought another brand, and never get the same remarks as what I do with Red Door. It is just a classic, classy, great scent. I have had friends try to buy my bottles off of me..LOL and have had husbands buy the scent for their wives after they have asked me what it is that I am wearing! LOL!!!

I buy all of my colognes off of Ebay.

That's how I started wearing it, a woman I knew always smelled great and that was her fragrance! I ran out of it and just started using Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker. I liked the one by Vera Wang too, that would be my next choice, I just smelled in today for the first time.

I've heard a lot of raves about the new Vera Wang. I am going to have to go to the store and give it a whirl!
