How many of you saved your....

top tier of your wedding cake (as the tradition goes) for a bite on your first wedding anniversary?

We did but when I saw this story on CNN this afternoon... well OH MY Hope SHE doesn't!!

I-Reporter's wedding cake is a full-sized likeness of herself - CNN.com

There are so many funny things that could be said about this....

Now that is just strange.

We saved our top layer. After a year in my parent's deep freeze, BLECH, it was freezer burned and inedible. It was still pretty though.

We got married out of state, so we took our top tier with us on our honeymoon and ate it. It was so nice to be able to really enjoy our cake since the wedding itself was a blur.

We had our top tier a year later and it was surprizingly good.

As far as this bride's cake goes...no ego problem there.

Saved from my first marriage, but we moved to Illinois from Cali within our first year of marriage, so I couldn't take it with. On our first anniversary, I had a bakery make an identical cake top for us, so we could have it.

I didn't have a cake with my second marriage (no reception).

We never had a cake, just tiramisu afterwards. It was a tiny wedding. Then again, the tiramisu didn't look like anyone, so it could have been worse!
