We just got new laminate (wood) floors in our living room and kitchen. While I love them, I am amazed with the dust and other things tracked on them. I love my dog, but don't care to see her paw prints all through those rooms

I have a Swiffer and while I like the dry one for getting the dust, I am not that impressed with the wet one. It seems to dry out before it finishes what I need finished, and even when it does work it seems to be kind of sporadic/streaky.

So...any suggestions out there? Thanks!

I vaccuum mine with my ShopVac once a day. And I use microfiber cloths attached to my Swiffer Sweeper to run through. We have them through the whole house.

Best thing I've found is vinegar and water. Doesn't smell that great but no streaks.

I did use the Orange Glo cleaner kit for laminate. It had the mop handle + the cleaning pads and cleaner. Worked pretty good but I got tired of buying the cleaner.
Vinegar in a big jug is a lot cheaper.

Cleaning the floors every day might be a hassle (I usually have to do mine twice a day as we live in the country so just gravel no pavement) but what really GROSSES me out is that this used to go into my carpet!!! No matter what it goes literally into the rug getting ground in. At least with flooring it sits on top until you clean it. YUCK!!! All those years of sitting on the rug with kids and stuff!!!

Vinegar is excellent not just for floors but for most household cleaning (including glass).
