What's your take on them? (keyloggers) ((not teenagers ))

Been using the free trial key loggers...
wondering if anyone uses one and did they purchase?

I would love to get some info on Keyloggers. I've thought about putting it on the computer my DS uses (I trust him, but just in case...) - my problem is my DS is very computer savvy and I need to know it there is a way to make the program completely hidden?

well the one we used was free for 7 days and we got it from download.com it's great! It's hidden and you can not only see key strokes but pages viewed as well! It even emails you a file every 1-60 mins depending on your choosing!

If you ctrl-alt-del, choose Processes, and look up anything you don't recognize on Google, you can know what's running on your computer. A kid who's a bit technical would be able to figure that out. That said, someone without admin privileges would be able to see the key logger, but not necessarily disable it.

I had not heard of this B4...My ds,14 is always on Myspace so I quickly downloaded the suggested freebie one. (before the kids get up and catch me downloading this)

Having said all that, how is this going to work? I didn't see any instructions after the download and I'm PC challenged...Help Please! how do I check/retrieve the results?

I put it on the "stelth" mode if that matters...

I used to use a keylogger when the now disowned son was living with us I got a reccommendation from I think cybertipline.com for it, I know its somewhere in the house here but where who knows.

It logged EVERYTHING Im's. emails, webpage visits etc, thats how we caught him in lies and messing with a just turned 14 yr old, he was 18 almost 19 at the time. I would get regular email updates on what he was doing trust me he made me very sick to the sotmach with what he was doing.

I wouldnt hesitate to use it again with my 9 yr old, he has very limited PC privleges, they are good programs and they hide behind everything and worht their weight in Gold.

I dont care if people think its spying you have a right to know what your child is doing on the PC and I had to do it because anything my son did traced back to my IP addy and ISP And with some of the volunteer work I did and still do it could have caused some serious problems in my work if he would have got caught trolling for minors and the stuff he did and said.
