Are you a Merchandiser?

I have a question for anyone that may be a merchandiser. I am looking to get into card (greeting) merchandising. I am wondering who besides American Greetings and Hallmark needs people so that I can apply with them.

Does anyone have experaince with this? Comments / suggustions? As a teenager I worked at Hallmark merchandising and enjoyed it. I fiugured it might be a way for me to get out and make a little $$$.

Thanks for any info!

I am a merchandiser, I work for 3 different companies, one of them AG. I have worked for AG for 7 1/2 years. I have also worked for Hallmark in the past years ago when I was in college. The only other card company I can think of is Leanin' Tree, but I am not sure if they have merchandisers or territory managers or exactly how they manage their accounts. American Greetings has other company logos that are owned by them, Gibson Greetings is AG, also the Tender Thoughts cards you see in the Dollar Tree stores $1.00/2 cards are also AG cards. AG and Hallmark are the big ones.

Driveline Merchandising does greeting cards in Family Dollar and Dollar General stores. If you work for them, you would have other merchandising assignments as well. They pay an hourly rate - from what I understand it's at the lower end of the pay scale.

American Greetings starts $1.00 over minimum wage, if you have experience add another $1.00 per hour, if you live in a larger city add another $1.00 per hour, so it depends on where you live, you also get paid for travel time in between stores if you are working more than one account. My other two companies that I work for pay $10 an hour, I stock and order for the military stores
