We always have to pay so we don't send them in until April 15. LOL However I did do DH's best friend's yesterday and his will also be deposited on Feb 1.

If I had the info I'd have ours done too Tax time is almost like Christmas to me..

DH just his W2 today, will be filing (electronically) this weekend.

we don't have all our stuff until the end of the month. I am self employed and would never do my taxes myself...to many things a seasoned preparer won't miss (or do wrong) that I would. Plus, if I'm audited, *I* don't want to do into the IRS....I'll end up owing unless the government tax rebate goes into effect

Just filed last night electronic - woke up this morning to find it already accepted by IRS. Our refund is coming on Feb 1st too and it's already just about all spent.

We need to finish remodeling a bedroom from termite damage-DH should have that done within a couple of weeks- it's almost done- just 1 more wall and the ceiling to drywall.
New windows in 2 rooms - ac unit for the redo room.
New washer and a new computer for me(finally).

DH is going to fix his jeep that needs a new engine and rest goes to bills

DH is self employed so we always have to wait for the 1099's to trickle in. I probably won't be able to file until some time in March.

We have not recieved either of our W-2s's yet. In fact, we haven't recieved anything for our taxes yet except the local tax form.

What about that possible tax refund from the govt.? $800 I remember the $300 one.

My work waits until the LAST min to send ours out.

Our tax person died (I am so sad about this- HR block sent me a crappy letter saying that they knew she would want us to still use them, and suggested someone else in their office- tacky!), and I am thinking about doing ours myself.

This year I worked for our after-school program, and I am worried it will somehow effect how much we get back.

We don't have our information yet either. I have no clue how our tax situation will come out this year. We usually get about 4K refund because DH has too much federal tax taken out of his weekly check. This year, he has been on Worker's comp for about 7 months, it is not taxable. So I imagine our refund, if any, will be quite small.

That won't come until June or so if it passes and will most likely only go to people who don't get all their taxes refunded to them so if you are low income and have children don't count on seeing a *recession rebate*

I already had everything entered into the program from DH's last paystub just wanted to wait for the W-2 and all the updates from the IRS before we e-filed so ours will be done by the end of the weekend unless I have to work. The Military W-2's just dropped yesterday so its been busy at work, we were slammed today !!

If you have anything to do with AMT dont expect a quick refund they are still hashing that stuff out and it is delaying refunds even those of people filing without AMT forms.

We got hubby's W2's on Thursday and I filed Thursday night. Should have our money in our account on Feb 1st. It will be spent (paying off one credit card) THAT same day.
