Do you ever share extra coupons?

When you have a coupon that you're not going to use, do you ever offer it to someone at the store? Sometimes I'll have an extra coupon for Bath and Body Works for a free product with purchase and when I offer it to the person next to me in line, they usually take it. In October, a month before my Entertainment Book expires, I usually take my book to work to let others tear out coupons that they can use. Today at Borders, I had a coupon for 20% off a book. Since I decided not to purchase a book, I offered it to a girl in front of me who was purchasing a book. "Excuse me, would you like a coupon for 20% off a book. I'm not going to use it." "No," she replied. I guess not everyone likes coupons like I do.

I love to do things like that. Sometimes, if I have a coupon thats about to expire or I just don't need, I like to leave it on the self next to the item. I have used ones that others have left too.

I often leave coupons I'm not going to use on the shelf next to the product. And I have used coupons that were left next to products I was purchasing.

Years ago I worked at a local amusement park where employees were given 4 tickets every 3 months to give to family/friends. Often the day they were going to expire several of us employees would offer the tickets to guests walking towards the ticket booths as we had forgotten to give them away. I can't tell you how many times we were turned down because the people we were offering them to didn't believe us! Sometimes we would have to ask 3 or 4 people before someone would believe us and take them. I'll never forget the time I gave my four tickets to a family who looked like they had saved a long time to come. The wife burst into tears when I gave them the tickets. I just asked her to "pay it forward" and do something nice for someone else.

I love to do that too! Somtimes I am scoping out people baskets , they probably think I'm a nut, but I always get extra SHoprite buy $40 and get $5 off coupons to share.

We had a Home Depot 10% off that was only good for 5 days and when we went on Saturday we were going to use it, but you had to use your credit card for the purchase!? (And we don't have any credit cards, they are all locked up.)

I could NOT find anyone to give it to, it's terrible it's going to expire, what a waste! I feel like I am throwing money out the window letting it expire, even if it's someone else's money instead of ours.

I try and share any extra coupons I have. I've looked in peoples carts and given them coupons for something they have in there. If I see them buying the same thing I am, I'll hand them a coupon. So far no one has turned me down for one. Sometimes I even get asked about couponing and I'm happy to share what I do. Anything to save a few bucks here and there.

I often give some of my extras to the person ho checks me out when they ask "where do you get such great coupons"
I figure it keeps them coupon friendly

I always try to give out extra coupons. This week our store is havng a sale on Peter Pan .88, so free with the coupon without doubling. An elderly man was looking for the sale peanut butter and we started chit chatting and I asked him if he would like some coupons that would make it free, I gave him a couple of the $1.00 coupons and he was sooooo excited to be getting it free, then I told him they will take the whole $1 off and the extra would go towards his other groceries, then he was really excited.

Sometimes I leave my extras that are about to expire sitting on or in front of the products that they are intended for with the hope that they will get used. I hope that doesn't irritate the store workers too much!

I love to share coupons and stuff like that but my hubby thinks that I am nuts. We buy an entertainment coupon book each year and when the year starts winding down, I will give the coupons out to anyone that I think will use them. He gets a bit embarrassed. I have never had anyone turn down the coupon though.

I always share. When I had the free juicy juice ones my sister-in-law down loaded so many of them that I was giving them away to everyone that had kids with them in the food store. They all said thank you very much and asked me questions on how I got them. Love to share them.

Yes...Usually I'll leave them on the shelf...Sometimes if I happen to be chatting with someone and I see they have something in their shopping cart that I have a coupon for, I'll offer it to them. One time I had mega coupons for those dark Hershey bars. They were expiring that night. I gave them away for free, although some people seemed a bit suspicious...like there was some sort of string attached. DH and I were in IHOP last week. I brought the whole sheet of coupons for the insert with me. I was handing out BOGO coupons to people. I'm sure management didn't like that. I say it's good karma! ~Lisa

I've done it at Boston Market since their coupons last such a short time and I'm never sure if I'll need the x/15 or the x/20 coupon.

Where is Peter Pan .88 this week? I went to Walmart earlier in the week but their sale sign was down.

I love sharing coupons! Today at CVS I gave one to a lady behind me in line and then let her go ahead of me in line. She had 2 things and I had a cart full and 2 separate orders. I said "I hope you don't think I'm nosy, but I see you have.......I have a coupon here for that." I have never had anyone turn me down. They are always super happy. The last 2 times my DH and I went on date nights to Red Lobster, I brought along extra coupons and passed them out. One lady stuck up a conversation with me and DH finally said "Hey, I thought we were on a date!" OOPS!
Sometimes I leave them on shelves. Today a found one that I never had on a shelf. BONUS! It was such a great feeling to find one for something I was buying anyway. It inspired me, so I left some others by stuff on sale.
