Gosh....he was so young!!! I really enjoyed his movies. Thanks for the info. I haven't watched the news all day. I just read up on it on the MSNBC link.

I had just read about this on my home page. How sad, and he was only 28 years old.

They said on the news that he was in his bed and there were prescription pills there. They said it may be a possible drug overdose. What a waste...

This is so sad! He has a little girl with his ex-girlfriend Michelle Williams. He was the last I would have expected to be on drugs.

I just loved him in 10 Things I Hate About You! So cute in that movie. What a waste. God rest his soul.

The reports are that he had pneumonia, so that certainly could have contributed.

It's all so tragic... first the post about the two year old boy drowning, then the horrific news of the tragic car accident with lives shattered and a life hanging in the balance, and now Heath leaving a young daughter too soon....

It's incredibly sad!

Although 2 of them were elderly, I think all these folks died within a week or two. Very sad week amongst the Hollywood crowd.

I wouldn't put Heath and Brad Renfro in the same category as "Sam" or Suzanne Pleshette - they were old(er) and lived long lives vs Heath and Brad that were very young. If you think things come in threes then we have 2 sets of 2, instead of 1 set of 4.

The guy who played Alice the housekeeper's boyfriend Sam on "The Brady Bunch"...Yes, a very sad week for Hollywood indeed. I just read an article that said Heath had been sick with pneumonia. The sleeping pills were nearby, as in the bathroom, but not scattered all over the floor or in his bed with him. His family doesn't think that he committed suicide. I'm hoping not... So young and so talented. Very sad for his little girl to have to grow up without her Daddy. ~Lisa

Sam (who was a butcher) was Alice's (the Brady's maid) boyfriend on 'The Brady Bunch'. I never knew the name of the actor who played him, until now. He had a great face for comedy, so expressive. He was talented.

Heath Ledger was talented, too. It's such a shame and so hard on his family. May they find peace.

I loved Sam the Butcher! The smile on his face when he and Alice would get frisky was priceless!

Who I was referring to was Heath. I had never heard of him before today. I looked him up, so good to go. Very tragic to lose any life.

Perhaps an *accidental* overdose if you read the precautions for Ambien? I read somewhere that the autopsy is today.

So devastating for such young talent to be lost. He made too few movies! I loved "Knight's Tale"... love it.

The autopsy turned out to be inconclusive so far. They say it will take up to 10 more days to determine anything.

Sam the Butcher also played when he was younger on The Andy Griffith show. He has different parts on there -- usually a rough guy who was always intimidating Barney!

Such a sad loss. He was a good actor.
