a little more descriptive would be it is a stainless steel one that came with three different size discs and I am trying to use cooked tomatoes that have already had there peels removed.

the discs are there different size holes?

I don't really know what to tell you without knowing why you say it is not working. Is it just pressing out the liquid or is it not turning correctly. Are you sure you have the discs in facing the right way? I use a food mill probably five times a week to make baby food but havent done tomatoes yet. As you are turning it try reversing direction every once in a while, just one or two turns, then back again the right way. That will pull the tomatoes up and force them back down again. Are you using the disc with the largest holes?
