I was just wondering what folks who color their hair at a Salon do when it grows out before the 6 weeks to extend the length between very costly visits????

I had to start doing it myself, or I'd always have roots. (Also ran out of patience for 2 or 3 hour visits at the salon!)

There are root touch-up kits you can purchase, so you might want to ask your colorist if he/she can recommend one. Other than that, it's just creative styling!

I started to add highlights just for this reason.....with highlights you don't see the growth as soon or as much.

Creative styling lmao... well my creatitivity went purple! was suppose to be strawberry blond. I look like Ronald McDonald. or some freakish Punk rocker.

I agree with this! I have a streak of grey on one side of my head..at the front, so the first thing you noticed about me was my grey streak It made me look older than my young 40 years!

Last Nov. I went to a salon and got my hair colored and highlighted.. It still looks GREAT, you can just NOW see a little bit off the grey starting to come back, and I just got the semi-permanent color.
