How many times do you use your disposable razor before changing the blade? I heard that the recommended amount of times is 3-5 but I think that's crazy. I use mine much longer than that. Just curious...

I use my husband's expensive razor cartridges.... after he's used them! I can't stand them being brand-new-sharp, cut myself too many times... so when he's used them til the lotion strip wears off (he says he gets around 4 shaves out of one but he appears to be using them more lately) then I use it for quite a while.

cheap store brand razors I use maybe 5 times, till it won't cut till the 4th time go over. The more expensive ones usually last 2 weeks. I saw a commercial yesterday about a new product that sharpens your razors, even disposable ones, I thought it looks like a cool idea for $14.99.

Me too...by that time it's nicking me anyway. I would guess 8-10 times?

too embarassed to answer....I am really cheap! I usually use DH's-don't tell him, but we've gotten a few good razor freebies lately, so I actually have been using "girl" razors for a while now.

I'm still using my "free" 1st edition Schick Intuition razors for women from a few years back. I have quite a few left. I use them about (4) times a piece.
