What's up with that??? I've looked everywhere I know. Even tried eBay and they're going for more than suggested retail. I read one listing and the seller said the DS lite were out of stock until April.

I wonder what the problem is. I haven't heard of a redesign.

My sister-n-law had a hard time finding one for her daughter's birthday last week. Then we walked into Target and they had just gotten a bunch in!

my daughters and i had been looking for one since Christmas and had no luck. one night we went to best buy, target, kmart, and somewhere else, anyway we finally went to game crazy to get my ds a game and they had three. i could not believe it. they also had one about a week later. so you might check there, i will keep my eyes open and if you want i will pick one up for you.

Thanks for the offer. I'm not desperate. I was going to get a used one at one of the local game traders with the two SP's that we have to trade in. I was able to find only one used and they wanted $110. I'd rather pay $20 more for a new one. As I said, bunches on eBay going for over retail. No wonder we can't find them in the stores or online.
I was wondering if the units couldn't be found due to an upcoming upgrade. Since that's not the case, I'm a patient person and will eventually find one in stock.

I wish I would have known. I just returned a white one to Toys R Us. I bought that one first, but then found a red one (at Best Buy) that I thought he'd like better. This was before Christmas that I bought it though.

I'm doing the happy dance this morning. I found a site that tracks who has the DS in stock. I meant to check Amazon this morning around 7 but was too busy getting ready for school. I checked a little before 9 and there were none in stock. So I check the website and it said Buy.com had the pink in stock. Sure enough!! I went through MyPoints and Google checkout and paid $126.86 total. The $10 off through Google paid all the shipping plus a bit more.
I can't believe how hard these DS units are to find.
