Calling All MyCoupons Aunties and Grandmas!

Hey all.

Last night I went in for a routine follow up OB appointment (14 weeks). They gave me the results of my ultrasound, which since I hadn't heard from them I had assumed were normal. They wanted to talk to me in person. I apprently have a bleed behind the placenta. This is my 4th baby and the 1st I thought I stood a chance of not being high risk with. I now have to go see the specialists. This is how my first child started (ironically at the exact same point in time) - he was born with a club foot at 31 weeks. Now the doctor tells me to stop lifting (hard to do with a 2 year old and a 9 month old and a disabled husband, but I will try my best). I was also told to relax, rest more and not stress.

So, I am relaxing - but am in need of more happy toughts. Anyone had this happen and end up just fine? Luckily my kids all sleep 8pm to 8am so I get at least 10 hours of sleep a night and I lay on the couch while they nap in the afternoon. Mentally is where I can't relax!

Sara

Donna: You usually find out what the sex is at your 20 week appointment, but they can see it as early as 16 weeks - which is when I have found out with the others. Although this pregnacy is so much like the first they will have to use the paddles on me if they tell me it is anything other than a boy. (Granted I might be biased, seeings as we would like another boy!)

Oh. Sara~ I'm thinking of you, and will say extra prayers for you tonight, too.

You've got so much on your plate - just get through one day at a time!

I want to also recommend the book "Chicken Soup for the Expectant Mother's Soul" - I was so inspired by the stories in this book - all moms like you who had unusual obstacles, but still prevailed.

If you want, pm me, and I'd be happy to send my copy. You NEED some comforting inspirational wisdom from other moms, and I think you'd feel better if you read it.

I rated this thread as "excellent" so that people will see it - I realized it was your followup to your past post only when I clicked on the thread. I KNOW many of the posters want to hear how you're doing after the news you had shared recently about your 4th pregnancy.

Also, please continue to update us!!!

I love the Chicken Soup books.

Sara, I hope everything goes well. Sending many happy thoughts for you and your family. I know you've already had a lot to deal with.
Take care of yourself. I know it's not always easy to rest, mentally especially, but take it easy and rest when you can.

Wow...you do have alot on your plate. I know it is hard to relax w/2 kids in toe and a husband to help. I know when I'm going through rough times or stressful times, I rely on my faith to give me strength from within. I think praying and reading inspirational books, like the Chicken Soup books would give you mental and spiritual strength. I will say extra prayers for you. Keep us posted on how you're doing. Best Wishes!! May God Bless!!

Sara,
I will keep you in my prayers. There is nothing worse than what you're going through, but with God's help you'll both be ok. Both my babies were high risk and they are perfectly healthy teens. I had pre-clampsia (sp) with both. It was so bad with my 1st, the doctor was surprised I didn't have a heart attack or stroke. I don't remember having him, but everything worked out fine. You'll both be fine also.
Do you have a church family to help you? I know from your previous post your family's not being very supportive. I don't live near you, otherwise I would love to help out. If there is anything I can do pm me and I will do it.

Ok. It's almost 8 PM here in Wisconsin. Right now I hope you have your feet up and are resting on the couch. Children should be asleep. Maybe something good is on television. A little snack is AlWAYS nice!! Maybe hubby can give you a little foot rub.

You take good care of our baby now! Lots of positive vibes are coming your way!!

Hugs from Auntie Donnaquilt
