Anyone Planning A Super Bowl Party?

I am having some folks over. Mainly just snack foods and cold beer. I have found out since having the baby it's much easier to have people over here than us pack up and go somewhere! What type foods are yall having?

I found this link today that I thought some might enjoy. Unfortunately, I'll be in a car driving down I-95 at the time of the game . . . not a happy camper!

I adore Pioneer Woman, and have yet to fix a recipe of hers that I didn't like.

Her Ma*****o Man sandwich is to die for.

She's not about low-fat anything, so if that's an issue, her site isn't for you. If you just want to fix something yummy... her site is the place to go.

we got invited to a party but don't know if we'll go. We don't watch the game...commercials maybe, but not the game. Usually, we got out to eat at a place with no TV's to have the whole place to ourselves

That Pioneer Woman is a cute website! I was not going to do anything and sew all day, but my DS is very disappointed. Add to it that the next weekend I am having a surprise 50th birthday party at my house for my girlfriend and am expecting a crowd. But - encouraged by this website I think I may make a few things - the jalapeno bacon jobbies and maybe the olive bread and the shrimp!

Great site!!

We are going to my oldest DBs. I am making "Super Bowl Sandwiches" as my nephews call them. I make Roast Beef and Cheese, Chicken and cheese, Ham and cheese and use Kings Hawiian Rolls as the bread. For some reason everyone goes crazy for them

I also make Spicy Szechuan Chicken sticks..too easy!

My SIL is making several kinds of hot wings and my DB is making homemade potato chips..not sure how

thank you for the site-DH and the older two boys would love that sandwich! As for us, we are going across the street to our neighbor's party. We are supposed to bring a healthy side dish. Hmmm....is Buffallo Chicken dip healthy? lol...I'll stay til the little boys get restless and then come home. I'm sure DH and the two older boys will stay for the whole game.

We were invited to a party, but I am bringing a big chicken platter from Walmart, chicken fries, popcorn chicken, BBQ nugget things, etc. It sounds like a lot of fun, can't wait!

I am also going to a party. I am famous for my homemade cakes so of course I have to back a cake. I'm going to decorate it like a football field.

No party here...we will probably be going to mom/dad's to do some work around their house in between the rain drops.
But yet, hubby may change his mind since direct tv is coming today to upgrade...so an interest in footbal may be there.

Searching recipezaar right now for ideas.

Me too, I just went to the store and bought all the stuff. I will have to make a 1/2 dozen tonight to see if I think they are good though!

I am now thinking about making her dip w/ some modifications (green onions instead of jalapenos and the regular onions) Dh probably wont eat much, so I am going to try freezing it like she did. Thanks for sharing that site!

I made a sausage bread ( Sausage Bread Recipe | Recipezaar) for DS1 to take over to his friends house. They always have the HS boys over to watch the Pats games.....bless their hearts....I guess that when you already have 7 kids, there's not much difference if they each have some friends over.

The rest (3) of us will watch the game here and eat shepherd's pie at DS2's request.

No party here. It is just going to be the four of us and my youngest son has been sick since Friday. He is on the couch with a fever and not feeling well.

I made some ham bone soup earlier today and that is what we are having for dinner. We will probably eat that about 6 and then later in the night if we feel munchy we have some nachos and salsa. I dont even know if I will stay up for the whole game. I love football but my team is not in the game and I have been up early and in bed late all weekend because of my son being sick.

Hope everyone enjoys the game!
