My mom started this for alzheimers over christmas..It's been difficult to taper it up accurately due to her memory issues and taking the pills correctly..Anyways- 2 weeks ago she seemed "pretty good" and able to maintain her balance..Now her balance is way off (ongoingly a problem)..Wondering if anyone has seen balance problems aggravated with Namenda..My brother has been calling her twice a day to have her take her Namenda so I believe she is actually getting all 10mg doses twice a day..Wondering if this is a sign of overmedication..thanks

I would talk with her doctor about possibly adjusting the dose. Namenda may cause some side effects in some patients. These side effects can include dizziness, constipation, headache and confusion.
I am not sure it is over medication but please call the DR.
