Good morning. We're off of school this week due to Mardi Gras, and I am so thankful! I was wondering who else on here celebrates Mardi Gras? What do you do? Are you fatter from cream cheese filled King Cakes? HA HA! A lot of my friends leave town during this time ( I imagine Disney is packed right now), but we're staying here. We'll go into the city around 5 AM tomorrow morning to rope off a spot on St. Charles. We're walk to Canal St. and get chicken at 7 AM and people watch until Rex starts. It will be Andrew's first downtown parade (he'll be two in April), but Haley is already a pro! I would love to hear what a few of you do. --Marilou

I don't celebrate, but I have been to Mardi Gras 25 years ago...... Not something I want to do now.. But it would be fun to do something at home to celebrate . Have Fun!

Not really, but on Fat Tuesday I usually make a Cajun feast for my DH, DF and DFIL. I make Dirty Rice, Seafood Gumbo and Chocolate Mayo Cake.

This year, however, I have rehearsal so it will be moved until after Lent. (My DFIL is a practicing Catholic)
