Smile Popular Board games in your home??

We play a lot of board games and card games, so I'm always looking for suggestions!

Right now we are playing a lot of Blokus, Life (electronic version, which I don't like but the kids do), Parcheesi, Mystery Date and Scrabble. We play Apples to Apples from time to time, but have gotten tired of it.

What are the favorites in your home??

my kids are only 6 & 8 so many of board games are too old for the younges

We have been having a Saturday game night with two other families we know. WE like Scattergories, Mad Gab and this week we had a ball with Cranium. These seem to appeal to all age groups.

Kids love UNO, clue, battle ship, sorry, and sometimes life. Bingo is a big hit at Grandmas, that's allthey'd play if we got one for home. Amazon.com: Huntar Party Bingo Set: Toys & Games

For older kids and adults Othello is a big hit, you really have to think and plan ahead. Amazon.com: Othello: Toys & Games

My girls like Scene it Jr., Yhatzee, Cranium and they just got racko (card game) and Clue. My oldest daughter is on the Academic Team at school so lately all she has wanted to play is Trivial Pursuit or if she plays with her sister they play Jeopardy on the playstation.

We play apples to apples when we have a bunch of people over, we like deal or no deal DVD edition,we also like to play phase 10 dice. The phase 10 card game is hard for my DS but he can easily play the dice version since its easier to help him. We also play dominoes

Thanks for the ideas! We play a lot of SkipBo (card game), and my kids love a card game called Flux. I know it's a crazed game, but I haven't tried it yet.

MaBear...Apples to Apples is basically a game where one person chooses a card from a pile (he/she is the judge for that turn), reads the topic, which could be anything (i.e. nature) and each player quickly throws down a card from his/her hand. Some choose a card directly on topic (maple tree) while others will throw down whatever ridiculous card they need to get rid of (Elmer Fudd). The judge, at his sole whim and discretion, chooses a winner. We usually award the most ridiculous card with the win.

It is very silly, and can be a lot of fun! HTH.
