Ok, how do I fix this?

I busted a tail light on my van (who put that railing there ) Do I need to go to the dealership to get a new one or would some place like Auto Zone carry it? It is a 2006 Kia. Also, is this something I can put on myself?

I think you can go get one at autozone- I'm not sure how easy it is for you do yourself. There are also auto junkyards that you could get one at. I know my husband replaced mine years ago but like I said I don't know what it entails to replace it

I would try Autozone first, they would show you how to install it or might even do it for you if they can get the part.

If it's a dealer part, I would call the local junk yards first and see if you can get one there, it would be cheaper. There are even online junk yards that could be cheaper than the dealer.

You might also want to check your warranty if you have one with your vehicle....Sometimes work done outside of the dealership can null and void the warranty, even if it is something petty like a tail light, so if you go somewhere to have it fixed be aware that they often enter it into a computer for records and could come up on something such as a carfax report etc.....

I backed into a railing a few years ago. I went to a local savalage (junk) yard and got the cover for about $15-20. My friend put it on in a matter of minutes, apparently just a few screws!

Thanks for all the help. It is just the red plastic part, I will see if I can get one and put it on myself.
