It is going to cost $60 to file federal and state taxes. Any codes out there for Turbo Tax?

I dont know about codes but i got mine free thru turbo tax.....had to go thru the irs website first, since we met the income guidlines. But i dont know why it will cost you 60, i thought even the basic or advanced was cheaper then that. Are you on the main page of it where it says the prices?

$30 State and $30 Federal

Last year you could go through State Farm and get it done for free, that was nice!

I read somewhere that State Farm was doing taxes again this year. Sorry but I can't remember where I read that. I guess you could go to their site and check it out.

I bought my Turbo Tax at Best Buy for $40 - that covered federal and state. There was another charge for Efile, but you have other options (like mail in) that are free. Try purchasing it at a store instead of online.

I think it depends on your AGI (Adjusted Gross Income) whether or not it is free. I did a search on here, and it brought up lots of stuff. I think I followed the link posted by Irish Blonde.
