Throwing it out the window!

Ok..I'm tired of my crappy toaster over under toasting the top and burning the bottom. I'm ready to toss the POS!

DH said to buy a good one "this time" LOL...Like I tried to buy a crappy one the first time??

Can you recommend a good countertop toaster oven? I don't want a ginormous one.....just a regular normal sized one.

Thanks!

You know we have a Black and Decker that cost about $30. B&D is not the best makers, but we've had good luck with our oven and we've had it for 5 years now.

We have a DeLonghi that my Mom got us a couple of Christmases ago on HSN. I love it it's a toaster/convenction oven and my husband's chicken comes out so very moist every time. We use it for warming things as we don't use a microwave. We use it for everything it's a little bigger than a conventional toaster oven so we can bake and cook in it easily.
I put tin foil to line the bottom so laying pizzas and other foods right on the rack is no problem. Plus it has a rotisserie which I have used for boneless ribs and other things. It came with all kinds of pans and things too. I love it for making grilled cheese just set on broil toast the bread on one side flip over top with chees and then put together when cooked it's easier and no butter.

A regular toaster makes the best toast,
but our Black and Decker toaster oven does a pretty good job.

We have a Black & Decker Toaster Oven also, it's lasted us for 3 years so far (and that is a long time for us! LOL!) I do agree that an actual toaster makes better toast, I keep one under the counter for that.....

We have a Cuisinart Convection/Toaster Oven/Broiler. It was pricey but so worth it! In addition to toasting, it is great for making small meals and the best part is the convection feature which cuts down cooking time. It also has a timer.

Yeah, but certain things tend to curl in a toaster, so for rye bread, and challah and bagels, I prefer a toaster oven.

We don't have a toaster oven now, but, when I was visiting relatives, they had a nice one....sorry, I forget the brand, but, we cooked a whole chicken in that thing....it is for MUCH more than just "toasting".

Did you find one you like??? A day late and a dollar short, but, LNT was running a special on the Black And Decker ones....buy it for $29.99, get a $25 g/c. But, I'm pretty sure that deal is over....sorry.

Well hey thanks for nothin AIA....LOL

I haven't bought one yet, I'll probably go out shopping this weekend. It sounds like everyone seems to like their B & D...so I'll look at those when I get out and about.

Ok. I was at BJ's tonight and they had this one for $60 since it was the sample! It looks like it's much more than a "toaster oven" and it even came with a DVD on how to cook with it.
