I know a couple people online whose kids have been throwing up lately.. hasn't hit here that I know of but we've had colds, mine lasted 2 weeks (!!) and the kids have been getting sick again it seems... let the daughter stay home but the boy got taken to school a couple hours late. The school nurse said on Monday she was so busy she didn't get lunch! Don't know what those kids have but it better not come here lol.. also one of my husband's coworkers and his wife have been sick, I asked if I should put some Lysol by the door so he could disinfect himself...

Please enlighten me what stomach bug symptoms you're having.
DS (12) has been complaining for at least a week. He says it's gas, however, I think it may be just stomach cramping but I'm not sure whether it's bug related or just nerves. Diarrhea in the morning only before going to school, fine in all ways sometime around middle day. Sometimes stomach pains close to bedtime, sometimes not. I finally took him in to the dr Monday and he couldn't find anything. No fever.
We usually go through schoolitis every year around this time. Spring break just can't get here quick enough. DS stayed home last Thurs and Fri. I made him go back to school Monday at noon.
I just don't know if he's harboring a slight stomach bug or if it's just the school blahs, not wanting to go to school. DS is an A student with no effort and this is the first year in jr. high. I think he's bored. We have a long weekend with no school Friday for professional development.

We have had that horrible flu like sickness. And I do mean Horrible. Took the baby to the dr. yesterday with a temp of 105.2, he had ear infections and a "upper respiratory "type thing going on. He got put on Omnicef, and today has felt alot better. I however, am feeling worse. Feel like I've been run over by a truck. The coughing is so bad your stomach muscles hurt. a few weeks ago we had the stomach bug, bad too. My baby started day care about 2 months ago, and I am convinced that is where all this crap is coming from. It's miserable. Keep scrubbing those hands!

We had the respiratory flu that has been going around, but so far, not the stomach flu, knock on wood. Although last night in church DS was complaining that his stomach hurt. He has not got up yet, so far so good.

That respiratory flu is really nasty! My DS had it, and then DD got it, She was sick all weekend and then missed an entire week of school.

No stomach flu here.

However, DS and I are both on antibiotics. Symptoms : bronchial cough, runny/stuffy nose, congestion, sinus pressure, headache.

My son has been out of school all week and is going back today. I am hoping he makes it through the day.

According to the doctors, this crud is going around. I told the nurse that we should just put a "Condemned" sign instead of the sign welcoming people to our city. She laughed at me.

I am coughing stuff up. Pretty gross. It is the heavy bronchial cough. I was even prescribed an Albuterol inhaler to help open the bronchial area in my chest to help with the goo.

I am getting Claritin-D for the congestion. I hope it helps. Of coures, I can't get anything until the pharmacies open at 9am today because of people abusing the pseudoephedrine.

This stinks! I am sooooo ready to start feeling better. And sooooo ready for SPRING!!

I had the horrible stomach flu the week before Christmas and it hit quick, like a freight train. It started with a burning feeling in my stomach at 4:30 pm and by the time I got home from work at 5:30 I had diarrhea. As soon as I got up from having that, and thinking I was going to be better, then the vomitting started. Then both at the same time, which I was NOT ready for. I then had the chills and a 100 degree fever. I did not eat anything for about 24 hours and stayed in bed for about 3 days. It was horrible. Here in AZ, it is called the norovirus and apparently is common around here. I had not had a stomach bug in about 20 years. I thought I had had them all, but this must be a new strain. The respiratory flu has been rapant here too and apparently the CDC has been here checking it out because it got so bad. LUCKILY neither my son or I has had much of anything with this. We both got flu shots this year too. TOO BAD there isn't a stomach flu shot!!!!

I had one of my grandhchildren who was sick and 1 1/2 days later I got it. Yesterday morning I woke up feeling sick and had diarrhea, vomitting, achy and weak. One of dd's also got it yeterday. Dont know how she is feeling yet today. DH just came home for work, he threw up all over the inside of his truck. He is a workaholic and NEVER misses work. So he is feeling bad. So far I am feeling better this morning. I took Aleve yesteday one I got passed some vomitting. Stayed away from anything dairy. And basically sipped sprite all day. I am hoping it has passed with me. I was miserable yesterday.

Unhappy

OMG is has now been since Monday. I had to leave work early two days this week. I thought it was finally over and it is not. I did throw up the other night and have barely ate anything. My stomach is cramping now and then. I was actually constipated so I took some stool softener. I feel hungry but I am actually not. I have been drinking ginger ale and gatorade. Someone told me to take a shot of apple cider vinegar...

I don't think we have had any flu here, I had it once that I know of, my dd was so sick with something and was hospitalized and they tested her and she was + for the flu and then I got sick so I know it was the flu.
Anyway we had a bad stomach bug here, one dd was sick(throwing up) Sunday night-Monday afternoon. I felt kind of pukey Monday afternoon and then was full on sick Monday night-Tuesday evening.

We all seem to have colds right now, just runny noses and a few of my kids are saying their throats are sore.

I doubt it is the flu tho, the actual flu is very nasty. I had it that one time and I have never felt that bad ever again. If you really have the flu you will be very sick for about two weeks.

Ewww.....the thought of Apple Cider Vinegar makes me wanna gag! I am so sorry that you still aren't feeling well....It's seems that it is taking everyone forever to get better....Have you been drinking plenty since you aren't feeling well? Sometimes cramps can come drom dehydration.....I think if you still aren't feeling well soon, maybe a trip to the doc might be a good idea.....My grandma always swore by Peppermint Tea for an upset tummy, might be easier to stomach then the Vinegar
