Do you have any plans for Valentine's Day? Do they include the kids?

We are all off in different directions this Valentines Day So as soon as the kids get home from school, the running around starts. Oh well...guess we can celebrate a day later.

Dont really celebrate it, we love each other all year not just Valentines. Power supply died on my pc a week or so ago and for my Valentines/Anniversary/Birthday he bought me a new pc. a lot better than him buying roses that die within a few days, or trinkets that just add clutter.

I am going to Kohls to shop!! I am my own Valentine! lol

We thought about driving up to Jerome, which is a former mining town, and now mostly ghost town, for lunch and possibly to shop. DH wanted to get me a gun, which is good in the sense that I enjoy shooting, and bad in that it costs money, and I'm pregnant, so I can't use it right now anyway. Instead, I think we'll go a town or two over and go geocaching. I've been sick, so we hadn't done that for ages, but we went out today, since it's our weekend, and it was a lot of fun. Other than lunch, which we can pack, and gas, it shouldn't cost anything. Would be totally kid-appropriate, so if the younger cousins were closer to us we'd take them and get them out of their parents' hair for a bit.

We may actually go out to eat WITHOUT the kids. Other than that, not much.

last year we took the kids out with us. This year...kids have karate tonight so we're not going anywhere. We have decided instead to get a hotel room in Denver tomorrow night and have the kids sleep over with family. That way, we can go dancing, have a few drinks and not worry about anyone being the designated driver. Then on Sat, we are going to the Denver Home and Garden show. I am excited

Today, I am making a special dinner and rented a couple good family movies for this evening for the entire family. On Saturday DH and I am going out alone to celebrate, we are planning on antique shopping and having lunch at La Rue's which is a restaurant that is on Rehoboth Beach boardwalk, that gives a gorgeous panoramic view of the ocean.

This was the only doll I liked when I was a kid. Shes the "Velvet" doll.You push a button on her belly to make her hair grow and turn the knob on her back to make it shorter.

Well my son flew in from Vegas today to spend Valentines Day with ..................his girlfriend.! I'm so hurt its not to see his MOM, she gave birth to this boy, changed his diapers, stayed up with him every night he was sick. He has only been dating her for 3 months........ he is hooked, line and sinkered! "OH MAN".


BUT...... my Hubby got me a diamond ring. I guess I can let this float ONE time.

Well, I am a merchandiser and one of the companies I represent is Godiva chocolate, so I did a Godiva demo today (and yesterday) and handed out my chocolates and sold a huge amount of candy. Then from from there I ran to pick up 11 pizzas for my 6th graders class party (which I am in charge of) then ran to the school to be there by 2:00, then just finished up at school and finally sitting down to relax for a few minutes.

I'm due July 15th, this is my first, and between frequent-constant morning sickness, and a lot of pelvic pain, I'm not sure I ever want to do this again. I'm still not sure whether women who have a bunch of kids are saintly or crazy, but I do respect them for surviving all this! I'm better than I was last trimester, but DH still has to wait for me to catch up with him, and he's doing most of the crawling around looking through bushes stuff now.

My son and I went out to dinner at a nice chinese restaurant . It was very good. I sent my dh flowers and Godiva choc from FTD!

We had a beautiful dinner at West Bros River Ranch and then soaked in the hot tubs. Today we are leaving for Lincoln City to spend the night on the beach and go shopping at the outlet mall on Saturday for the Big President's Day Sale.

I am very excited as we have not gone anywhere for long time.

The political system is broke and it's a joke.

Dh had been outta town but returned late last night. I set a place at the table for him (knowing he would get home more or less around 10-11 p.m.) with 3 videos I'd hate to watch but knew he'd enjoy. Also bought him a bottle of his fav bourbon and put a glass w/ice at his place. Also put a small (4 piece, cuz he's dieting) box of heart shaped chocolates at his place as well as a plate with 3 of my Cherry Chocolate Chip *Crack* cookies (they're hideously addictive ;-)
And I lit a candle.
He was thrilled, enjoyed it all.
He brought me back from his trip a very pretty pair of abalone earrings, my new fav earrings.
All in all, a pretty good V-Day, especially since he got home before the day was over ;-)
