What item do you own that you would be heart broken if it was lost?

What item would you be heart broken if it were lost?

I thought I lost my college ring yesterday. Means so much to me! I felt so lost yesterday. Good news, I found it in a place I normally do not keep it. I was still shaken even after finding it. Silly, I know!

Besides my wedding rings, I'd have to say my new Prada handbag. I've owned it just a couple of weeks now but I'd die if I lost it....I've never had a designer handbag and I'd guard this baby with my life!

Besides my wedding ring and the dog (!), I'd probably have an anxiety attack if I lost the 6 photos that I have from my childhood. I have copies everywhere... Our house flooded when I was 12 and all we were able to save were the 6 photos so they are pretty special to me!

My engagement/wedding rings, all the love letters and cards I have from DH throughout all of his long deployments, my sons baby pictures, and a quilt my great-great-grandmother made.

I love my wedding/engagement rings...but what would hurt the most is my Grampa's old old OLD pumpkin-ish colored sweater.

I LOVE it. Grampa passed on back in '97 and Gramma let me have this. It's got a couple of big holes it in and it's a weird color, but Grampa always wore this sweater around the house when he was chilly.

I don't wear it...it's more like a security thing for me. I know, silly, but I love my Grampa so much and miss him terribly. It lays on the end of my bed across an afghan. It's comforting to me somehow to have this thing.

Right now I would have to say my Eddie Vedder Into The Wild vinyl. It was pretty limited and sold out in minutes. They are going for $$$$ on ebay.
I was soo lucky to get one!

I can't think of anything. I would say pictures, but my parents are huge photo nuts, so they have more pictures of us/the kids than we do. We don't really have anything of great value either. So, for me, nothing. Most everything I have can be replaced (with hopefully something newer and better-lol...)

Ditto linnybop! Nothing really. I guess I'm not very sentimental.

I have letters that my Dad wrote to his Dad and Visa-versa during his time on Guam and Okinowa as a marine during ww2. I re-read it all the time. Very interesting.

Nothing, no *thing* that I own would break my heart if it were lost to me forever.
I *do* have some material things I enjoy, like photo albums/scrapbooks, but it would not break my heart to lose them.
If I lost any more kids or other dear fam members, *that* would (and will cuz it's an inevitabilty) come close to breaking my heart
The one thing that has come closest to breaking my heart in the past few years has been the death of my fabuloso MIL. Soon it will be the 2 year anniversary of her death, and it is only *now* that I am beginning to face this fact w/out wigging out.
I figure that my memories will last my whole life, *things* can disappear in an instant.

A pair of earrings that my dad gave me (he passed in 1997). If I lost my engagement ring DH would kill me since it was his grandmother. Also a ring that belonged to my grandfather.
