Has anyone's daughter been to Libby LU for a makeover

We are taking my BF's neice (she is going to be 9) to Libby Lu for a Hanna Montana makeover for her birthday. My DDs were never interested into going into that store so I have no idea what to expect. Has any of you taken your DDs, neices, granddaughter's etc for a Libby Lu make over? Did they like it? Was it worth the cost? TIA .

The girly girls like it.

My dds never really got into it. They've both done it a couple times because a friend had a bday party there. They both came home and took showers immediately! But, I think it's totally cool - they change into an outfit, do their nails, their hair really cute, put glitter spray on them, they they get to do a musical routine in the mall in front of the store. They also get to pick out some items to bring home in their Libby Lu bag. I would have loved it as a kid!

Sounds like something I would love to do now. I can't wait until DD is old enough to enjoy this. How much does it cost?

We are paying $27.50 for the Hannah Montana package. The basic package is $22.50

Lisa, Thank you for the input.

I took my DD and SD for Hannah Montana makeovers last year. They were 9 & 12 at the time. It wasn't a party or anything...we just decided to go one day. They enjoyed it and walked around the mall in their wigs. LOL They continued to wear them after they got home and my 9 year old even wore hers to her tae kwon do class that night! LOL!!

Just a note, we were in the mall the other day and walked by a store and 2 teen employees and a little girl were in the door singing their heart out. It was so cute. My 11 year old really wanted to go do it but they were having a big party and it was crowded. Very cute!

My DD's have gone, and they LOVE it! I think the hair styles that the kids get are consistently beautiful! One of my friends had a 2nd wedding, and her dd's went to Libby Lu to get their hair done for the formal occasion. The hair styles were funky and cool, and the kids loved their do's!

My only concern is for the outfits. I am a little creeped out about the outfits that the kids put on as part of the make-over. The outfits are NOT given to the kids, they only wear them in the store for a limbo and dance activity, and for pictures. They are black lycra (at least around here), and very form-fitting. What concerns me is whether or not these little outfits have been washed, or how sanitary they are. For all I know, since the girls only spend about 10 minutes in them (they are put on in dressing rooms, and are NOT put on over existing clothes), maybe the outfits aren't so clean? I really don't know the policies, or how highly sanitizing these outfits between brief wearings is regarded.

I think the rest of the makeovers are fine, and seem like a lot of fun! JMHO
