Question Need quick advice

My entire family has had the flu since Saturday. I personally had it starting Sunday Night (technically Monday) until about 11 pm Monday night. I vomitted more in those hours than I have in my entire life combined. Horrible feeling. Nothing like puking and diarrhea at the same time.

Anyway, The only thing I have consumed in the last couple hours have been a few tablespoons of chicken soup and a few tbsp applesauce and some clear soda. My appetite is starting to peak, however, I don't want to 'over' do it. Do you think it would be ok to eat a boiled egg? I like mine hard boiled.

What's your thoughts on this. As I really don't want to end up puking again.

Any advice appreciated.

Did you actually have the flu or did you have a stomach virus or food poisoning?
The actual flu would probably be lasting a bit longer a bit longer than barely 24 hours....

But anyway...the BRATT diet is typically the recommended diet to follow for at least 24-48 hours after your last episode of throwing up.
B-Banana
R-Rice
A-Applesauce
T-Tea
T-Toast (dry or very little butter)

Easily digestible foods--and these typically are going to be foods that are not high in protein.

Sounds like you have the stomach bug that's going around. Definately not the flu.

This is the absolute best advice. The flu would last alot longer and you would also be running a fever, having chills and hurt all over and the doctor would do a test to confirm whether it was flu and you would be started on Tamiflu. My neighbor has the flu (diagnosed by a doctor) and he has been sick for almost 10 days.

We had the flu last year and I couldn't have gotten on the computer if I wanted to, I watched The Little Mermaid 3 TIMES because I couldn't pull myself off the floor to get the remote. The flu is totally debilitating, not just something that makes you feel crappy, kwim?

Yup sounds like the nasty stomach bug that's going around. Excellent advice already given, hope you are feeling better soon!
