Did you actually have the flu or did you have a stomach virus or food poisoning? The actual flu would probably be lasting a bit longer a bit longer than barely 24 hours.... But anyway...the BRATT diet is typically the recommended diet to follow for at least 24-48 hours after your last episode of throwing up. B-Banana R-Rice A-Applesauce T-Tea T-Toast (dry or very little butter) Easily digestible foods--and these typically are going to be foods that are not high in protein.

We had the flu last year and I couldn't have gotten on the computer if I wanted to, I watched The Little Mermaid 3 TIMES because I couldn't pull myself off the floor to get the remote. The flu is totally debilitating, not just something that makes you feel crappy, kwim? Yup sounds like the nasty stomach bug that's going around. Excellent advice already given, hope you are feeling better soon!
