And the Oscar goes toooo...?

Best Picture - No Country For Old Men
Best Directors - No Country for Old Men
Best Actor - Daniel Day-Lewis, There Will Be Blood
Best Actress - Marion Cotillard, La Vie En Rose
Best Supporting Actor - Javier Bardem, No Country For Old Men
Best Supporting Actress - Tilda Swinton, Michael Clayton
Best Adapted Screenplay - No Country for Old Men
Best Original Screenplay - Diablo Cody, Juno

The only movie that I've seen is 'Juno' (loved it)...

Have any of you seen 'No Country for Old Men'? or 'There Will be Blood'? or 'Michael Clayton' or 'La Vie En Rose'?

If so, what did YOU think of them?

The Oscars were loooong... no surprise there. John Stewart did a good job but I still love Billy Crystal the best! What did you think of the show?

I need to get out of my cave, the only person I recognize is Daniel Day-Lewis and I;ve never even heard of these films! I watched for about 10 minutes but therewasn't anything exciting going on so I turned it off.

How were the outfits this year, anyone stick out as really good or really bad?

I stopped watching the Oscars a few years ago, they seem to go on and on. Plus half of the films nominated I have never heard of or plan on seeing. Plus there have been a few times that I felt someone won because their careers body of work and not that particular film....and "stole" the Oscar for someones brilliant performance.

I had seen four of the movies up. Antonement ( didn't care for it. boring), Juno, No Country for Old Men and There Will be Blood all are great movies. We went last night to see Vantage Point instead of watching the Oscars. It was a good movie too. Different.

I could not get into it. I thought the Oscars were kind of boring. Missed the preshow however saw a replay of Gary Busse(sp?), he was over the top....WEIRD! Poor Jennifer Garner, she seemed polite but a bit taken back by his behavior. Ryan Seacreat did not know what to take over him, surprised they did not call security on him.
I never heard of the movie that won.

I too am not familiar with most that were nominated. I am curious, was the best picture winner a surprise? (Is this the movie about a serial killer?). It didn't appeal to me as a movie I might want to see.

No, it wasn't a surprise. It has won a huge amount of awards before the Oscars. It is a really good movie. I like thriller type movies. I also like Tommy Lee Jones in the movie.

I like Juno but that would have been a surprise if it had won.

BORING....snooze I saw the movie that won best pic (no country for old men) and wouldn't pay to see it again...I didn't like it and thought it could have been a lot better. I would like to see the Daniel Day Lewis movie just because I usually LOVE his performances. About 2/3 thru I stopped watching and started playing on the pc...

I found it to be quite boring, too. I like to see the fashions that the women are wearing, tho.
