| Ryan Seacrest, Jennifer Garner Diss Gary Busey at Oscars
If you haven't seen, check this out: On-Air with Ryan Seacrest on 102.7 KIIS-FM After you watch the video, then go listen to the recording of when Gary called in the next day to talk with Ryan on KISSFM. I am incredibly upset at the beyond rude behavior that Ryan, Jennifer and even Laura showed (even though she was more gracious). Jennifer is a stuck up twit and Ryan is the biggest jerk I have EVER seen. To think he took the place of Rick Dees on the air is unthinkable. Rick had class, and respect for those around him. I love the way Ryan turned it around and lied to Gary during the radio interview (saying it was Gary that had to go inside, etc). I was so impressed with Gary's attitude on air, I think he earned a LOT more respect by me, just by the way he was so generous (but yet he DID put Ryan in his place in a VERY classy way!!). Absolutely unreal. |

I actually didn't see it that way at all. I got the feeling that Garner, at least, didn't have a clue who he was. They were mid-interview and suddenly he was walking between them and the camera and then he's leaning over Garner, hugging her, and kissing her on the neck like they were old friends. She called him "That man", which indicates to me that she may not have even recognized him. I don't have a stable connection and can't seem to get his radio interview to play, but what he said about it the next day, unless here was a whole lot more, doesn't negate the fact that he somewhat rudely interrupted their interview and was a little more physically close with Garner than she felt obviously comfortable with. |

What I saw was Garner making a face at Laura the minute Gary came over to talk to Ryan. From then on, she was completely rude. Ryan was the one who introduced Gary to Jennifer, Gary was not even talking to her, and didn't even acknowledge her until Ryan said something. Gary didn't know who she was, but was gracious in making her feel important to him, anyway. That is how I took it. Then Jennifer acted like a girl in high school with her behavior. My view is that Jennifer will never be on the same list as Gary Busey is and has been. Give it a year or so, and most people will be saying "Jennifer/Ryan who?" But that is just my take on it. I need a hobby..LOL But it really does upset me to see such behavior out of two people you would never expect to act that way. Especially Ryan, he needs to behave much better than the stars he is interviwing and I felt he didn't. He needs "people" to protect him from Gary.. LOL! |

I think the media has to have something to make a big deal about for each year's events and Ryan Seacrist seems to enjoy being the one to create these types of foibles -- last year it was that Angelina Jolie felt that Ryan was being rude at another red carpet event (and he was rude in my opinion!). A good interviewer would have taken the opportunity to introduce Gary Busey (the oldtimer) to Jennifer Garner (the relative newcomer). It seemed to me like Gary greeted Laura and then Ryan said 'hey, what about Jennifer' at which Gary greeted her in the same manner. I guess I felt that there was overreaction and Ryan is playing it up in the media for personal gain. He loves the attention. I hope that Jennifer works up some sort of public apology and admits that it was no big deal. JMTCW. |

pretty much all of them was rude, Gary for interupting the interview being pretty loud, garner for her snotty look like he was some homless street bum roaming around, ryan for also acting like he was some kinda bum off the street. my take on it, I dont watch grammies, oscars and all that and the only person I could identify without googling was garner

By the way... Gary Busey -- way out of Jennifer Garner's league. If you've ever seen 'The Buddy Holly Story', you'd know what I'm talking about: Gary Busey - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia You can read about his brain injuries sustained in a motorcycle (no helmet) at Wikipedia. But, yes, all very petty and silly... like school kids. |

Gary is a wonderful actor, but I never really liked him. After I heard the radio interview, however, I have come to find that he has earned a whole new level of respect from me. They need to take a lesson in how to be gracious from his attitude and behavior on the phone with Ryan. But yeah, he did barge in, he was in the wrong, he did act "out there". |

|
I think it was VERY obvious that Busey however you might feel that he is a great actor, was obviously drunk and strange. He has been extremely strange in all his behavior since his motorcycle accident (has anyone seen his reality show???). He is crazy and seriously weird. Those girls were obviously disturbed and trying to get away and to be physically hugged and kissed on the neck was EXTREMELY CREEPY. You could see it in those women's eyes. However you might feel about their acting ability or their star quality.....they are women who are relative strangers to this drunk man who then grabs one and kisses her. Hasn't anyone been in that situation before??? Goodness.

Rose, that's how I saw it. He looked very "off" to me. I saw that incident on the news just before I read this post last night, but it was from a bit of a different angle, and he just looked very bizarre. Something about his eyes wasn't right. I was a big Alias fan so was paying more attention to Garner than the other gal (didn't even recognize her), but I didn't see her doing anything she needed to apologize for. I think that during the rest of the interview, she didn't even know exactly who he was and was feeling rather discombobulated as she tried to re-gain her composure. Had she known he was a fellow actor she might've reacted differently, but I truly got the feeling that she thought he was just some guy off the street who'd been drinking who came up, embraced her, and kissed her neck. Initially he wasn't FACING her - and by the time he did face her, he was pretty much so "up close and personal" that if she didn't know him personally, she might not've assessed who he was, even though she's surely seen his movies. He just looked very wild-eyed and "off". She was caught off guard by someone she didn't know who was invading her personal space way, way too much. I give her a pass. |

In the beginning of the tape, you can hear Gary Busey yelling to Ryan Seacrest. Personally, I think Jennifer Garner handled it rather well. Personally, I think I would have given him a knee kick to the groin while he was kissing me, and told him to go sober up. The woman that appeared to be with Gary Busey seemed a bit taken aback by it as well. that's just how I see it.

Maybe I am not seeing the same interview as some of you, but I for one thought that both Jennifer and Laura act extremely gracious under the circumstance. Garey interrupted an interview, and while Ryan was playing it up for attention, I find Garey was inappropriate and agree with Rose, that it looked like he was intoxicated. A hand shake would of been more then justified when meeting someone new, but to hug them and kiss them on the neck....I personally think that is invading someones personal space.

I don't really know anything about Gary, but I thought he was drunk?! Gary was totally inappropriate and he shouldn't have kissed her in that way and she was very uncomfortable with the whole situation. I didn't find any of them rude.

| I agree he can be rude, I really didn't watch any of it to make a comment on except for the clip that was posted above. Ryan's sense of humor has a sarcastic tone to it? When he's trying to joke sometimes it doesn't come out right? I don't really keep up enough to know.

I thought he was incredibly rude to this 11 year old girl doing an interview on the red carpet. YouTube - Gary a'Busey

GB's behavior can't be defended, but a lot of it could have been redirected by the right host. Ryan just doesn't have the control or the quick-on-his-feet style that another host would have shown. I can think of so many better, more capable hosts. He's just not that talented, IMHO. |

Awww, I feel really bad for that 11 year old girl. I don't think Gary was drunk at all, however. I mean, I could be wrong, but he just seems to be "Gary" and not to make excuses, but the interview with the girl might have been after what happened on the red carpet with Ryan and he might have been really upset at the time. Doesn't give him the right to take it out on anyone else, though. That little girl is cute. What a great idea for a website!! |

The interview makes me think of the popular kids in school sort of ridiculing the weirdo right in front of him/her. It brings back memories.... Makes me sad. Ryan should have deflected the whole situation. I work with people with brain injuries and GB's behavior is/was very spot-on for how they behave even without being drunk! No excuses... Just my take on it. |

I guess I just don't see what you're seeing - that he had reason to be 'upset'. He was pushy and rude, she was visibly taken aback by it, but yet we're worried about his feelings being hurt? I just don't quite understand. |

By Ryan's attitude, not necessarily Garner..although we don't know if he overheard what Jennifer said or not. Doesn't matter, really. I just felt the same as one poster did above that said it reminded her of High School.. it did me as well. Maybe it was the bringing back of bad memories of how the kids were very cruel to those that were different that set off a nerve in me. Plus, I just think that Ryan stinks, and now I am sure of it. LOL |

I'm with you...I don't like Ryan at all...He started out here in Atlanta on STAR 94 as a DJ...He certainly doesn't remember where he came from...He's a little snot. ~Lisa |

Probably was frustrated cause he kept haveing to try to get her to slow down with her question, she was excited and talking fast like a lot of people do and his brain just cant process information that fast anymore. He had to keep asking the girl on the radio with Ryan to slow down too and it's easier to be snarky to a kid he came off as being even more of an a$$ to her than the lady on the air
