Universal Studios?

We are thinking about going to Universal when we go to Florida, instead of Disney. First, I went to Orlando Discount Tickets at Universal Orlando Resort and from what I can understand it's $85.99/each for a 2 park 7 consecutive day pass...is that right? My husband was looking and he found some other site (where I am not sure) that said it was like $250/ticket for like a 2 day pass. I know the $85.99 price sounds too good to be true, but it seems right there in black and white unless I am not looking at the right parks.

Also do you guys recommend Universal? Everyone I have talked to recently says they recommend Universal over everything else.

We love Universal. We love the Studios. Mummy is our favorite ride of all and don't waste your time w/ Jaws. Boring!!

The 85. sounds right. When we went in Oct we didn't prebuy tickets and we ended up getting a deal. If we used our Mastercard we got 3 days for the price of one for both parks. Check their website first they might have specials up. It is not as exspenive as Disney and no way is it 250 a ticket. No way.

That price sounds about right. But you will be bored if you plan on going there for 7 days. Unlike Disney my family is over Universal within 3 days, then they want to go to Disney.

Yeah, no way you can spent that much time at the two Universal theme parks. We enjoy them - I LOVE the Spiderman ride (@Islands of Adventure) but they are not Disney.

If you stay at one of the on-site hotels you get front of the line access which means you don't wait in the regular lines, you go through a special line and get right on the rides. The hotels are a little pricey, but they are all deluxe hotels and are beautiful.

The price is right. They have been offering it for several months.

Loved Universal but thought that Islands of Adventure was lame. Unless you have little kids. I agree, 7 days would be too much!! We also really enjoyed Sea World in Orlando!
