Yay! I got my box yesterday and have been bursting at the seams to tell!

My Secret Buddy ROCKS!!!! I got an awesome apron. It matches my kitchen! It's a burgundy stripe, heavy canvas, it'll last forever!

I also got a beautiful, silver, "diamond" covered picture frame. Really, it's so pretty and so something I would have picked myself. I also got some sour candy.....it's gone already.

Thank you Secret Buddy. I love it all!

I got my package on Tuesday. My buddy, NJFL (Nancy), went above and beyond what she should have.

I got so many things: magnetic note pads (three of them which are ALL on the fridge), pens and socks (which are crazy and funky just how I like em!), candy, cracker jacks, a coupon holder, a Boyds bear named Clinton (which I thought your idea of sticking pins in him was a cute idea LOL), a pin that I can put my own pic in.

She also sent stuff for the kids AND the dog. The older two loved their stuff, which consisted of books and a little Bratz doll w/two bobble head animals for Eryn and some cool soda flavored lip balms and a calculator and some other stuff from Claires for the oldest. I can't remember what else since she immediately took it and put it in her room. The baby loved her books, she thinks all the animals are dogs though. LOL She's been carrying around that Dora mini see n say, too. I got her a Blues Clues one for Valentines day and she's been pushing both of the buttons at the same time dancing to the songs. LOL And the dog got to eat both bones since we only have one now (had to put the other one to sleep a few months ago). She gobbled them right up! LOL

Everything was wrapped up individually in bright tissue paper. I hope I remembered everything.

Nancy, I so appreciate you sending me SO much stuff. And my kids were so excited to get their stuff, too. After the week I had last week, your box put a smile on my face. I truly appreciate your generosity and kindness.


Edited to add: when I was out in the kitchen I saw the little light up ghost that Nancy sent me. My 5 year old is trying to claim him. Also, she immediately dug in to the candy corn. Our one CVS still has some left and every time she goes with me she tries to get me to buy it for her! LOL So, she was EXTREMELY happy that you sent candy corn! LOL

Okay, Nancymh........you're pretty awesome! I got my package today and am beyond delighted! First of all, she sent me the funniest letter on her experience at a local craft store. Too funny. Anyway, I got some really nice things, including two cross-stitch kits--one being a bookmark kit , beading supplies (really neat, will have to start beading!), two lotions, small candle, choc-cov peanuts, and to die for tastykakes. These must be regional as I have never seen them, and they are sooo good.

thanks sooooo much! it came today and I have been a little under the weather and this was sooo nice , a great pick me upper. lol. love the heart your daughter made that is the cutiest thing! all the candles, they are great and the fridge pad is on the fridge! the lotion will come in handy as I wash my hands soooo much for work and the note book is really cute. now if I can just keep my daughter outa it when she comes home from college this weekend!I know she will place claims on the tee shirt. she does truely love n.y. lol

I agree, Tastycakes rock! We only used to be able to get them in PA and NJ - just recently they started putting them out in MA stores in my area. We ALL love them - I know what my future buddy will be getting. I can't wait to get my surprise package and hope my "buddy" likes hers.

The first secret buddy exchange, Linneybop was my buddy and I felt like I got to know her a bit. Which brings me to my question. Has anyone heard anything from Lynne? Haven't seen her post in a couple of weeks which seems unusual for her. Hope all is well with her.

Eileen66, you're the best!!!! Got your great box today. Of course, the chocolates are already gone, my younger dd is a big Lindt fan One of the candles is burning as I type this and my house smells wonderful. My older daughter claimed the sunflower grow pot and that's when I put a stop to the madness. I told both of them that the rest of the goodies were mine. Thank You Nancy ( auntnee63 )...... I loved the coffee cup, I've wanted to get one from Starbucks. I can put all my kids school pictures on it...... they will be thrilled to see their teacher drink her coffee with picts.
The goodies in the cup will come in handy, I loved the little frogs, they are sitting on my window sill waiting for spring to go fishing! Also the sunflower seeds will be ate tomorrow morning waiting for my student teacher to give her tests.

I received my package today, don't know from who, but it was filled with goodies. I received a red bucket filled with homemade chocolate pops, thick warm socks, red pot holders (homemade) twizzlers (my fav) , red candles (cherry flavored), strawberry/vanilla bath salts, hand and foot lotion, hair ties, oven mitt, and a waffle bar......I'm not cool enough to know what it is though.....Thanks a lot, everything is so nice!!

I do know my buddy is from Hickory NC......the first thing that popped in my head was the comedian from Last Comic Standing, that said he was from H_icK-oryyyyyyy NC

Well I just got the biggest most amazing box from IrishBlonde!!!

OMG the shipping alone was $10!
All bundled in cheery red tissue, what a smile it brought to my face. Thank you so much Irish and I do hope you are feeling better! I know you have been under the weather as well as snowed under! The funny part was, I just knew it was you....lol. Thank you so much for being so thoughtful and generous.

2 skeins of absolutely yummy wool and a pattern/instruction book! I absolutely love this. At night while we watch tv I knit and crochet scarves and hats to go into my shoebox gifts that I send with Operation Christmas Child. I do not have those 2 colors!
PLUS fabric to quilt with: beige and white. I also am involved with making cot quilts for orphanages through Global Aid Network. My worktable is right next to the computer with a pile of boy or girl fabrics. But I have been running into a problem that I didn't have enough and needed some solid colors to add to the mix....AND THEY CAME IN THE MAIL.

You just don't know how thrilled I am! Everything was exactly right! Way too generous and extremely thoughtful!

Heidi Thanks tons. You really brightened my day. First I started wondering if my package was really coming, I even sneaked a few looks out for UPS. Today came home from shopping to se this huge box! I couldn't wait to open it. Inside was a bright springy wrapped box in yellow the color that always makes me smile. (When I was a little girtl I only wore Yellow Keds) My first thought swas I should have gift wrapped my package it made it so festive (Sorry Nancy). Then the Van Maur sticker caught my eye. For years my husband sold them and would go to visit their stores and headquarters so that was interesting. Okay. enough for the wrapping (that were great) on to the inside- After all the tissue paper was a beautiful tile plaque that says "Moms Kitchen were memories are made" I love it!! With a house full of children I always say the kitchen is where we all live so this is so me. There was also a lovely bottle of house fragerence. It smells yummy.

I am so glad you enjoyed your box of goodies. I had to ask a few quilters I know what color you would maybe need. They told me "always White and another good color is beige". From what I understand quilters run out of those colors a lot! Plus the knitting stuff was a last minute gift. I am having my first grandchild (girl) in June, and I was thinking I ought to try my hand at this. WELL you got it! ( I don't have the time) lol

Wow!! I got my big box of goodies today. Thank you SO much Toontown!! My girls wanted to know how they could get a secret buddy...lol

Included in my box:

A cute little notecard telling me who my secret buddy is;
A package of instant french manicure nails;
a large bar of tomato soap;
a luxury floral shaped bath sponge;
St. Patrick's Day clover grow kit;
a light up shot glass (my kids got a huge kick out of that one);
and a large bag of Dove milk chocolate eggs.

I LOVE everything!! It's amazing how opening up a box from someone you've never met truly can help make your day!! Thanks again!!

A short little story tho...my box has been sitting on my neighbors porch for almost a week!! This is not the first time this has happened...we share a driveway and I drive by their house to get to the main road. I mentioned to my dh that "I bet that box is for me" But I didn't want to go snooping on my neighbor's porch. So today...when I drove up the driveway..the same box was now on MY front porch..lol
