when a regular poster stops posting

I get so used to seeing posts from frequent posters and when I notice a regular here at MC hasn't posted in a while, I wonder if all is well. Has anyone else noticed that Lynne (Linnybop) hasn't posted in a couple of weeks? She was such a regular poster (and my buddy in the first exchange). Anyone know where she is or why she hasn't joined us lately?

It worries me too. During the last exchange, we lost mataje. She sent 3 of the 4 packages, and her last post was November 10th. I sent her a few PMs and e-mails, but never heard back from her.

Jovia, why don't you try sending a PM or e-mail to Lynne? Or, if you still have her mailing address from the exchange, send a card out to her.

Good luck! I know how you feel.

ETA I did a little research and found that linnybop's last post was 2/25.

I don't think the Search is working quite right yet???? I believe I've seen a 'mataje post' fairly recently but search shows last one at end of December?

Here's hoping everyone returns safe and sound to us.

I will try to PM her, but don't have her address anymore. I was the recipient of her in the first buddy exchange. Maybe whoever was her buddy still has her address.
It just seems so strange to me that someone who posts almost daily, suddenly stops.

I remember mataje... heavy french accent even online. I miss her posts as well... very sweet lady. Let us know if you find out anything!

I was confused with another poster in my post up above! I really haven't seen mataje here in a LONG time. Sad.

Hey guys-I'M HERE, I'M HERE! I promise, I wasn't abducted by aliens or anything (although some days that does sound appealing!). It's just been a busy time for us. I have travelled for the last three weekends. Over President's Day weekend, we took Patrick to James Madison U for a music audition (he plays the french horn, mellophone, bass guitar, and percussion.). Just this past weekend we took him to East Carolina U for another. Both went really well. On the 15th, he has his Va Tech audition. I won't be there as I will be at the St. Baldricks Day event here, getting my head shaved. It's a fundraiser for Pediatric Cancer research. It's a good cause, but I am quite nervous about what I'm going to look like-send earrings and lipstick please!!! Also, a note, Patrick is celebrating one year cancer free! What an exciting time for him. Also, I had posted regarding Homemade Gourmet. I did sign up as a distributor and got to go to Raleigh NC last weekend for a conference. That was a great way to jump in to the business, and I actually have my first party today over lunchtime. I think it will go over really well in my area. Everyone has been so supportive. Everyone else is doing fine-DS#2 has been busy with HS baseball, and is actually very good. The two little guys are just fine-excited about having green eggs and ham today for lunch-yuck! DH is good too-they are having a weight loss competition at his work and he has lost a few lbs. Unfortunately, I think I've gained what he's lost-funny how that works! So I am still here-although I'm sure there are at least a few ppl who wish I would disappear-lol...I will try to post more often. Thanks for your concern guys! See ya later, love ya, mean it! Lynne

Glad to hear everything is OK. I am glad it wasn't about your son, I was worried something might have happened.

Good luck on the head shaving. You are a brave woman! St. Baldricks is a very good cause.

Lynne...don't read this....

Hahaha...I knew I couldn't trust you! Anyway...if you agree to this you'll have to send your NAZ to me.

If anyone would like to contribute to the cause and send a gift to linnybop, please PM me. I'll have you send them to me within the next 2 weeks, then I'll send them out to her.

Gift suggestions: Anything to take people's eyes away from her bald head! She suggested lipstick and earrings...but I bet we can come up with some fun stuff! What do you think, girls??

Ya know, I was going to post that you might be working with Patrick on the college visits and FAFSA and what not....but didn't want to be accused of being a stalker! LOL

Congrats on the one-year cancer free and on a bright future for him!!!

Count me in on the gift idea!
I'm so glad to hear about Patrick's clean bill of helath! I too was concerned that maybe that was why Lynne hadn't been hanging out with us lately.

freer, you are so sweet and thank you for that (but I promise, I didn't read your reply!) Other than being bald, and having REALLY DARK roots, I will be Ok, I think. I know it will be a very emotional day for me---they actually have the pediatric cancer patients shave our heads. Some of them are going to be just fine, and I know a few that shaved heads last year are not with us any more, my favorite Nina who died in November @ age 8 w/ the same kind of cancer my son had. . And it is just so sad. My son is fine, and that's all I need. I am so amazed at everyone's thoughtfulness, that you would all want to send me goodies. But truth be told, if you could each send a dollar or two to St. Baldricks, on behalf of my luxurious locks (haha) , that would mean more to me than you ever would know! I'll be sure to post a pic of me bald! Anyway, if anyone wants to see a family pic or donate, here is the link:

Thanks again guys for being so kind; I am so overwhelmed by your kindness.

It is for such a good cause.

Thanks for the info on donations, Lynne. I had thought of that immediately when freer suggested gifts. Looks like donating is easy, can be done online.
WONDERFUL picture of your beautiful family!

Not to hi-jack the thread from Lynne, but on the general subject.....has anyone seen or heard of Kelliiii? I recall her checking in after her marriage, death of father, and move to VA, but don't recall anything since. Kelliiii.....where are you? Love your sense of humor and miss it!

Thanks again for all of your donations, you all have been so wonderful and generous. The $'s just keep going up and up. I miss the names you all have mentioned, and I also miss Nutellafreak. She was my wonderful secret buddy. Haven't heard from her in a while. And we had Sammy back for a flash moment. What a great group-would hate to lose any component. Lynne
