Did anyone watch the Osmond special on PBS last night? As a little girl growing up in the 70s, I loved Donny. Donny is still a cutie. He sang Puppy Love and teamed up with Marie for a medley of hits. The Osmonds sang my favorites, One Bad Apple , Yoyo, and Love Me For a Reason. I didn't know that their number 1 international hit song was Crazy Horses, with Jay taking the lead. Marie is so talented. Since she was Anna in the King and I and Maria in the Sound of Music on Broadway, she performed songs from those musicals. I'm excited because I have tickets to see Donny and Marie this summer in Las Vegas.

I did not watch but I have seen Donny all over everywhere lately. Makes me feel kind of old sigh LOL.

I cannot believe I missed it I knew it was coming on sometime, but honestly they didnt advertise it around here and I will admit I am on a few Osmonds mailing lists and got nothing about it. Oh well I'll catch it on a re-run I guess.

I didn't know anything about it either...otherwise I probably would have watched. I had Donnie & Marie lunchbox and barbie dolls when I was younger. hehe

I watched it about a month ago when it was on so I'm sure it will be on again. I love the Osmonds too. My favorite was always Wayne. I would go to Vegas to see it if they ever did a show like that again.

I did too and I still have in MINT condition the Donny and Marie Barbie Dolls, Clothing and Sound Stage and I have every Osmonds album there is in both 8-track and the old 33 1/3 Record's their no longer in Mint condition thanks to a particular cat who thought that getting into the box and scratching the covers was fun.

I wish I would've known!!! I adored The Osmonds! If anybody hears about it again please let us know. Of course , my favorite was "Oh Donna" !! He sang it just for me!!

Oh my...........8 tracks and 33's? Goodness sakes, to think I just got rid of a Pioneer stereo system a few months ago that could have played those things.

I think we're old, but what fabulous memories. I can still hear, "I'm a little bit country......I'm a little bit rock and roll!" Let's not forget 'Paper Roses', either. Had that one memorized, sung it badly and enjoyed every minute of it.

Yes, the Osmond brothers (the older ones) do have a theater in Branson. At least they did a few years back, last time I was there. I live 2 hours from there but haven't been in a few years as we've taken other vacations. My brother-in-law is a well known performer there also. I also love the Osmonds, especially Marie. I remember the Donny & Marie show growing up. My favorite Marie song is "Meet Me in Montana" with Dan Seals. She is looking so beautiful lately also. Has lost a ton of weight, she looks like a teen again. I can't get over her re-invention! Wish I knew her secret (and I hope it's not plastic surgery, ha ha, but I don't think it is). With all the 'fame' that came along with being an Osmond, I think (comparing to most of the other child stars out there that is) they all fared pretty well. Seems like Marie has probably had more public issues than the rest for whatever reason though, maybe just simply because she has been more out there in the public over the years than the guys.
