USDA says it's none of the public’s business who ate recalled meat

USDA Says It’s None of the Public’s Business Who Ate Recalled Meat - CommonDreams.org
You can see the humane societies video here but it is very very graphic!
Undercover Investigation Reveals Rampant Animal Cruelty at California Slaughter Plant – A Major Beef Supplier to America’s School Lunch Program

I think we have every right to know where this beef went!

You can read both links without watching the video. The second link has a link to the video.

i can take a wild guess who ate that meat!

the impoverished, people in state funded nursing homes and maybe people that live in low income parts of their towns.

what a shame!

I heard the same thing on TV...that it went to schools for lunch. I can still picture that shot on TV of the meat being all ground up...nasty looking. Sad because I really like my meatballs... ~Lisa

I heard that like 40% went to schools but I would like to know where the rest of it went.

I am horrified that it went to the school lunch program. I am so glad that my DS takes his lunch most of the time and never eats beef.

Ughhh! This makes me so glad my kids like to pack their lunches. My oldest does buy her lunch but she's not a fan of beef so she gets salads or chicken sandwiches.

I saw a snipet of a video on the news and had to look away. I could not stand to watch it.

I also heard that the meat went into the school lunch program as well as some fast food.

It is appalling that the USDA does not feel like it is our right to know where the beef went!

Some of the meat got into our school here. They had to throw out all the hamburger and switch to chicken products for a week until all the meat was taken out of the cafeterias.

The school system here got it and threw away some but some of it had already been consumed. Gotta love how our government takes care of us esp our kids.

Another reason to be glad I don't eat meat and another reason to show that the very people who are supposed to be safeguarding our food supply don't give a damn but I bet none of their family members ate the meat.

My mother in law is the head cook at our middle school. She pulled all the meat she had and has not served any of it at all.
She is so upset, I do know everything she orders and cooks comes from the government. All meat comes from the government , also the butter and cheese.
