Oh - what a great question!!

I would tell myself to make my own rules. It kills me when my almost-ten-year-old says "Nobody talks to so-and-so..." or "Everyone would think I was weird if they knew I like ..." I remember all the expectations of who should and shouldn't be friends. I wish I was outspoken enough, and carefree enough at the time to say "I don't go by those rules -I tell myself who to like..."

There are always little kids who call the shots and there are the little kids who follow them. I'd tell myself to be in a third group - the group that doesn't fall into those trappings. They always existed, too, it just took more guts to be among that group than I had at the time!

I would say stop stuffing that bra soon enough you will HAVE to wear one everyday.
I would say slow down and enjoy this. But I remember when I was 10 my best friend and I were riding our bikes and I looked at her and said I love this I don't ever want to grow up. So I think I knew things would get harder.

I would tell myself that it is okay to be smart and compassionate--these qualities will be cherished some day

Have the courage to be yourself.

I would tell myslef to stay away from older boys because they just use you. Also to be more outgoing, oh and to take off that stupid hat I always wore! I was such a dork!

I would tell myself to hug mom amd dad as much as possible because they one day will not be around to hug. Tell myself to enjoy my sister and brother because some day they will live far away from you. Slow down dont be in such a hurry to get married and have kids do some traveling.

I would tell her to not worry so much about what classmates thought of her and stand up a little taller (it will make you feel better about yourself). Dig down deep and try to be more outgoing by trying new things; nothing to be afraid of.
