How often do you wash your car?

My neighbor washes his car every day -- I'm not kidding. It's an all out car wash every day over there!

We do ours when it gets dirty... and I'm talking DIRTY.

How often do you wash your car? Do you get every speck of dirt off or is a little bit of dust here and there okay?

Not often enough now that we have had tight water restrictions here in GA because of our drought. When things weren't so bad, I guess I'd wash it probably about twice a month. Now I take it to the car wash about once a month...although I hate spending that $8.00 when I wish I could wash it myself! ~Lisa

I just washed it. Read that sentence as I paid someone to do it.

I dont wash my car nearly enough but now that we are having a drought, I just tell people I am conserving water.

I am lucky if my car gets washed 4-5 times a year. Really lucky.

LOL at Carrie.

So many things to do... so little time!

Plus, it just gets dirty again. That's how I look at it!!!

when I can't see out of the windows In the summer, it doesn't really get washed. In the winter, I wash it after a snowstorm passes. All the mag cloride on it will ruin it if you don't wash it off. Otherwise, it's just when it's dirty. My magnum is 3 years old and I think I've cleaned the inside 3 times so once a year is an average LOL

Do you live on my street?
I think we have the same neighbor!
And he has 2 vehicles plus his girlfriend's car.

With my white van, as little as possible. It really is true, white doesn't show dirt as much. SO, maybe every other month at most.

Sometimes twice a week, sometimes twice a month, depends on the weather. I dry with a chamois.
Absolutely cannot tolerate a dirty vehicle.

During the winter, never.
Other than that, I try to do it every other week or two.
Can't stand brushing up against it and getting dirty especially
when I'm in busniess attire.
(My car does not go in the garage-the boat has presidence)
On the other hand, my neighbor really does wash his two cars every morning w/a bucket and sponge.

We have 5 cars and a truck. It is kind of an unwritten rule that I'm responsible for the interiors and DH is in charge of the outsides. Actually we are both a little obsessed with clean cars. My shop vac is always plugged in out in the barn and ready to clean, clean, clean. Now that we are both retired, we don't seem to get them dirty like we used to. When it comes time to go away, we can just choose the cleanest one with the most gas in it. Although it seems like we can never get them all filled with gas at the same time. Truthfully, vehicles just seem to complicate our lives. It is a full time job just keeping up with oil changes and all.

That is a lot of vehicles... Wow! That does sound complicated.

When I can't figure out what the color is anymore!

Not nearly often enough though.

I just did ours the other day. The temp got up to 41 degrees and I couldn't believe how dirty it was. Now that we have had another blizzard it doesn't matter. During the summer about weekly. When it is below 0, never.

2-4 times a month depending on weather - more often when it rains and snows (gotta get that salt/sand off it) less often when it's dry

We just got a new car last weekend, and we washed it today (had to get the salt off). We drive past a 3.00 car wash daily, so probably about 2-4 times a month now.

Once every couple months I take it to the car wash and fork out $15+tip. My reasoning is that they do a much better job than I can.

LOL!

We wash it about once a month unless it rains, then we have to wash it after the streets dry up. Living in Texas, it's usually dry and dusty, the truck really does not get dirty.

Washing the car every day is just wasteful. Shame on him. We all need to do our share to preserve water.

I wash mine when needed. Not more than once a month unless it has been snowing and they had put salt on the roads, which can ruin a car.
