Good news. He is awake and his mind seems fine!! They had to tell him about Meghan because he kept mouthing her name. That wsa pretty tough. Last weekend little Tenley got to go see him and so did his stepson Brandon. That was really helpful. They have had him sitting up in a chair. When he tries to talk it's all hoarse and raspy and they can't understand him very well but soon the trach will be out and that will help. He will have to have physical therapy for his muscles but I am sooooooo grateful that his mind seems pretty normal. That;s the most important. They can work wonders with physical therapy. He doesn't remember anyone visiting him here at the U of I. He just remembers waking up at the rehab center. That would be soooo strange. I'm really, really hopeful and just wanted to let everyone know! Thanks again for the prayers - I KNOW they all helped! No need to respond, just wanted to update and share some good news!!!

Thank you for letting us know. Bet it was heartbreaking to tell him about his wife. Glad he got to see the kids-bet that was better than any pill he could take!

I keep thinking about him. I am so glad things are going so well. Itis amazing what they can accomplish in rehab now days. I will keep praying. Please keep posting updates.
