What is the name of your subdivision..Y ?

Fun question..what is the name of your subdivision? why do you think it was named that ? Ours is Bungalow woods. Named because " The Bungalow" was the original bldg on the property. used to be a meeting hall and rented out for parties. Woods because we live surrounded by woods.

Ours is Lake Side Acres - but it's not much of a true subdivision - we're a few houses in the boonies. (There is a "Lake", but really it's a large spring-fed pond.)

Ours is called "Heritage Woods". Not sure how they got the name. Except the Woods part, we do have lots of woods around.

Country Ridge Estates

We live in Country Ridge Estates. It's not really in the country, no where near a ridge and I guess "Estates" makes it sound fancy. We used to live in Creekside Estates, which was (as you can guess) no where near a creek.

We live in Shady Lakes. All the streets are named after famous lakes. And, yep...there are NO lakes even close to the subdivision! L0L!

Right now I live in a rural community with no subdivisions but I grew up in "Park Haven" so named because it was a "haven" and there was a street named "Haven" in it. It was a subdidivision built in the late 50s.

I am in RollingWood-there are about 90 homes. The neighborhood does have some wooded areas surrounding it, but I wouldn't exactly call them "rolling."

I live out in a rural area so there's no subdivision. But if I did live in a subdivision, I don't think I would put it out here on a public message board.

Isn't that a little bit too much information?? JMO.

I was thinking the same thing..

How about a generic:

My subdivision was named after the folks who owned the property that was sold to the developer.

We live in a sub division that was also named after the developer, but we call it *Boneyard Estates* because of the pillars (or whatever they are) at the entrance that remind us of tombstones ;-)

in FL we lived in a subdivision called Settler's Landing. I guess it was named that cause it was the first group of homes to be built in what is now a huge community...

This must be a regional thing. Subdivisions are uncommon here and if someone does take a parcel of land and subdivide it, they don't name it.

Ours is called Conley Chapel Village.....There is a historic church up the road from us called Conley Chapel..so we were named after it......the extremely weird thing is; that all the street names inside the subdivision have the word Conley in it.....which means people get lost and we exchange mail A LOT!!!!

Ours is called River Trails. It is close to a small river and we ride our four-wheelers on the trails behind our houses (but I don't think that was the original idea of the "trails" portion because we get in trouble now!)

The house I grew up in and actually lived in when I first got married was in *Paddys Hollow*. It was an original Irish Settlement. Which was a rather strange thing to see in Maine. Maine isn't known for Irish Settlements. It is a beautiful spot, with many old houses and has a beautiful view of the river. I miss living in *Paddys Hollow*...

space theme for my subdivision

The street I live on is Lunar, like the moon. It is the main road. All the other streets are named after spaceships or astronauts. Armstrong, Aldrin, Voyager, Friendship, Apollo, Collins, Mercury, Gemini, etc.
