None. I dont do crowds of people. I rarely ever go to the mall or walmart cause they are usually packed with people. Or anywhere there's going to be yelling going on I get all the noise I need at home with four boys hehehe

ELVIS! Yes I am showing my age - I was 10 years old at the time - his last concert in Evansville, Indiana, before he died. I could be a groupie - I ABSOLUTELY LOVE CONCERTS! I can't even begin to list who all I've seen. |
| ||||

Pantera, 1994! I was... 18 I think. I haven't been to many BIG concerts... I have seen some other "big" bands but in small places, mostly I've seen little local bands when I know someone in one of the bands lol... I'm hoping to see Type O Negative in May, just found out about it... didn't get to see them last time they were on tour, right after we moved down here... in fact I only saw them once, about 12 years ago |

Saw NKOTB before they were even known by any name that I can remember at a local under 21 club. My first "real" concert was Bob Seger, a friend of mine ran in a grabbed me as I was leaving work and off we went! ( I was about 17 so she ran in saying"Ialready asked your mom, LET'S GO!") |

I was about 12 when I went to see SHA NA NA. I thought it was amazing! I remember it as being in a classy, upscale kind of place and being really magical. Years later I asked my sister about it and she broke the news that the "classy, upscale place" was the "new" building at the Racine County Fairgrounds in Wisconsin! LOL..it was STILL a great concert! As I got older my sister, who is 14 years older, took me to lots of concerts.

I think it was the Doobie Brothers in the 70's. It was at the Greensboro Colliseum in NC., I think, or the Winston-Salem Colliseum. I don't remember!! Boy, those were the good old days. That place was filled with smoke (and not from cigarettes!) You could get high just breathing!! Oh, for the 'good old days'!! |

Melissa Etheridge......2 days shy of my 19th Birthday I was suppose to go to a NKOTB concert a few years prior (when I was 15) but ended up getting sick with a liver infection and my "loser" cousin was given my ticket instead

I used to go see concerts at the State Fair in Phoenix a lot when I was a kid. I believe my first one was Eddie Rabbit! Hah. Since then, I've seen Dan Fogelberg (3 times), Eric Clapton, Amy Grant, Jars of Clay and Caedmon's Call and a bunch of others but these were my favorites. The last one that I saw was a few months ago and the best because it was in a small venue and I had a great view. The girls could rock -- Heart! |

Rick Springfield "Success Hasn't Spoiled Me Yet" toue in 1982, I think? Billy Idol (after the "White Wedding" song) Since then I've seen Elton John, James Taylor and Billy Joel and Michael McDonald many times. My favorite of all is James Taylor. |
| ||||
| No kidding!! I liked James Taylor but really did not consider myself a fan UNTIL I saw him in concert. He shows how much he really LOVES the music and his fans....He was AWESOME in concert!!

| I am truly stumped. I don't know who the first was. Of course we are taking 40+ years ago. I have a much older brother and sister that used to drag me along when I was 5 and 6 years old to many of their nights out. They were supposed to be babysitting. ![]() The first that I remember going to with my friends was Bob Seger. I have been to many, many since but have missed the one that I would really like to see in concert and that is Eric Clapton. Everytime he was playing anywhere nearby something else was in conflict with me being able to go to the concert. I am hoping he will hold another Crossroads Guitar Festival. I would be a super happy cat to attend that.

Oh my gosh!!! We are going to this same concert (Bon Jovi) In April and CANNOT WAIT!!! My first concert though was Def Leopard! My parents wouldn't let us go to a concert until we were old enough to bail ourselves out of jail. Weird I know!

I love concerts and have been to many- Heart, Loverboy, Def Leppard, Van Halen. Those were the days! My most recent was Gearge Jones. The Possum is still cool!!!

My first concert was Tom Jones. I think I was like 5 or 6. Went with my mom, cousin and aunt. I consider my first "REAL" concert Def Leppard. 6/27/83 Seen them about 15 times and going to see them again in April. Been to sooooooo many concerts. Think I'm going to still be going to them when I'm in my rocking chair!

I believe my first concert was Howard Jones at Six Flags. LOL I had a season's pass and I went by myself. That was probably in the 80's sometime. I don't remember exactly when. I've been to quite a few since then...I probably can't remember them all....Mike & The Mechanics, NKOTB, the cure, Rush (twice), Metallica (yikes! someone had an extra ticket), Garth Brooks (awful!), Reba McEntire, B-52's...that's all I can think of right now. peapie Last edited by peapie; 03-19-2008 at 11:22 AM. |

Hey BioBrain - I saw Rick Springfield in 1984 also! That was my first concert as well - it was a toys for tots benefit in Baltimore. I actually just saw Rick again last summer - he's still awesome! My first concert should have been Shawn Cassidy when I was in the 6th grade but my mom wouldn't let me go and wouldn't you know it, he split his pants on stage that night!

I lost my concert virginity to Bon Jovi back in the 80's when they were on the "Slippery When Wet" tour. I was 15. You never forget you first. **sigh** I'm soooo jealous of all of you who got The King as your first time. Very lucky, all of you.

Ok, so I'm going to really date myself, but oh well. My first concert was to see "Elvis", wearing his infamous "gold leaf suit". This was when he was just beginning. Back in the "Heart Break Hotel" days. I think I was 15 at the time. Couldn't speak for a week afterwards. I lost my voice. I got to see him several times later, but the first time was the most memorable. I have seen many, many more stars throughout the years. ALL WERE COUNTRY. Some were paid concerts, some were county fair concerts, some were free concerts (yes, at one time those really weren't all that uncommon) and then the weeks at Fan Fair where you see lots of stars. My last concert was in Oct. to see Loretta Lynn. I just hope and pray she and I both last long enough on this earth that I can see her a few more times.

This is REALLY dating me! I saw the Beatles! My mom took my friend and I on the train to downtown Chicago, where we spent the day before going to the concert at the old Comisky Park. I remember what I had on, how my hair was fixed etc. LOL I believe I was 11 or 12. This was before the time of ticketmaster. I remember her sending in a request out of the paper for tickets through the mail! I have seen many concerts, Eagles, Monkees, Yes, Edgar Winter, Box Tops, Alice Cooper... I could go on and on! LOL Speaking of the Doobie Brothers and Michael Mcdonald, I used to follow a group called the Guild out of the St Louis area and Michael was with them for a while before he made his trek to CA. They were older than I and my friends and somehow we befriended them. No hanky panky.. they were just great guys. My mom had them over and they became her surrogate sons for a while when they were in the area. I remember having birthday parties in my basement in Plainfield IL. Michael's voice blew me away even back then. Nancy |

1971, The Beach Boys, Miami. I was 17 years old and my mom let me travel from New Jersey to Miami with a girlfriend for Spring Break. We stayed with an aunt of hers who lived in Miami. What was my mother thinking?!!! We had such a great time! Ah! ... to be seventeen again! |

Kindergarten back then we actually could say and celebrate Christmas (1967). We sang Christmas songs. (I know what you meant I am just tying to be witty and technically it WAS my first concert)
