Okay so it's officially the first day of spring but around here (Eugene Oregon area) it's raining until about May LOL.

I want spring to arrive so I can undress a little and wear all those cute new shoes I got at the last shoe sale!

I want to start getting a tan and watching flowers bloom.

I want to see kids playing outside riding their bikes.

I want to put on a pair of shorts.

I want to drive with all the windows down.

I want to wear paisley dresses.

I want to go to the park and not have to worry about hosing down my doggie before she comes in.

I want to see the sun.

I want garage sales to start.


The only reason I don't want spring to come is the TOURIST!!!

I would like to leave the house without hunting down jackets for everyone. They cant seem to take them off in the same place twice.

I would also like to be able to eat lunch outside and so far the weather is not really cooperating.

I would like to show off my cute pedicure but cant wear the shoes needed to do that.

I want to open my windows.
I want to hang laundry on my clothesline.
I want to pack away my hat, mittens and winter coat.
I want to smell fresh air, and feel the warm sun.......

But.....First, we need to get rid of all the snow still on the ground.

I want to not be hearing the winter storm watches such as the one we are under at this minute.
You might know, the first day of spring are we are under the threat of measureable amounts of snow for Friday and Saturday.
I hope the Easter Bunny has a good pair of snow shoes.

Not having to wear boots and heavy jackets anymore. But we still have plenty of snow left so, I guess I still need the boots!

Garage sale season starts. I can clean out my stash in the basement and make some $!!

Grilling out! It was warm the other day and I was so desperate to grill out, I stood in the snow to make burgers. They were great! My DH thought I was crazy, but he loved dinner.

But my favorite reason of all......
Spring means large pick up for garbage. Or as we refer to it at our house---CURB SHOPPING DAY!!!
Last year I got 3 bags of charcoal, a Webber grill with gas start, a patio swing and a wicker bench! The year before that I got a beautiful patio set that the glass had broken on the table so the lady was throwing out the ENTIRE set! My DH stained and varnished a piece of wood for it and it works great. (he got the wood for free too!) My neighbor boy went with us and he got an old lawn tractor. They guy even came out and gave us the key. It works great and he rides all over the neighborhood on it!
It was kind of weird at first, but now it is jut so fun. We even get together with the neighbors and ride around together and make an adventure of it!

We are getting hit today with up to 15 inches in my part of Wisconsin. All of our snow was melted and the robins were back. Hopefully this is the last snow!!

It is 30 out today and last night snowed a little in town I know not much compared to some of you but for here BRRRR. It's supposed to be spring today.

For us, spring means the snowbirds will be gone soon. Of course, it means it's going to be getting incredibly hot, but it's nice having a place only inhabited by its normal residents.

The big Reason For Spring To Arrive to arrive is ~

I am tired of being COLD, and I am really tired of SNOW.

I wore a winter coat to the Good Friday service today.

I agree with everything especially grilling. Also a new secret buddy will start.

Well, I wish Spring would come, and not quit running away! Friday was like being inside of a snow globe the way the snow was so blizzard like! It was pretty, but DANG!

Another reason, my DH canceled his trip to Arkansas with the boys over Spring Break (This coming week). I was supposed to be home all next week by myself!!!!!!!

HATE the SNOW AND RAIN!!!!

I know your pain, mid-September is our favorite time of year here, it is still warm enough to use the beaches without them being so overcrowded. We live in Lewes/Rehoboth Beach/Dewy Beach which are three towns butted next together that all have outlets and boardwalks on the ocean. We only live 2 miles from the Ocean and about 1 1/2 miles from the grocery stores but it can literally take 30-45 minutes on some days to get to either one. It is so bad starting April 1st the bus schedule changes for DS school, he will be picked up 18 minutes earlier to allow the bus driver more time to get the kids to school on time with all the traffic.
